摘要: A process for preparing a polyethylene resin having a multimodal molecular weight distribution in at least two loop slurry reactors connected in series can include polymerizing ethylene in the presence of at least one supported metallocene catalyst, a diluent, optionally one or more co-monomers, and optionally hydrogen, thereby obtaining the polyethylene resin. The supported metallocene catalyst can have a particle size distribution of a span value lower than 2.5 and a D50 value within the range of from 5 μm to 20 μm.

摘要: supported catalyst system may include a titanated silica-containing catalyst support having at least 0.1 wt % of Ti and a specific surface area of from 150 m2/g to 800 m2/g. The Ti may be of a titanium compound of the general formula selected from RnTi(OR′)m, and (RO)nTi(OR′)m, wherein R and R′ are the same or different and are selected from hydrocarbyl groups containing from 1 to 12 carbons or halogens, wherein n is 0 to 4, wherein m is 0 to 4, and wherein m+n equals 4. The supported catalyst system may include a catalyst activating agent and a metallocene. The supported catalyst system may be obtained by a process including titanating a silica-containing catalyst support with at least one vapourised titanium compound, and treating the titanated silica-containing catalyst support with a catalyst activating agent and a metallocene.

摘要: The present invention relates to a polyethylene resin prepared using a continuous process having and at least one metallocene catalyst composition:
a molecular weight distribution Mw/Mn lower than 6.5;
a molecular weight distribution Mw/Mn of at least 3.5;
a melt index ranging from an HLMI of at least 1.20 g/10 min to an MI2 of at most 6.0 g/10 min wherein MI2 is determined according to ISO 1133:1997 at a temperature of 190° C. and under a load of 2.16 kg, and HLMI is determined according to ISO 1133:1997, at a temperature of 190° C. and under a load of 21.6 kg;
melt index ratio HLMI/MI2 below or equal to 30; and
a melt strength of X in Newtons, as determined by Göttfert Rheotens Melt Strength Apparatus, 190° C., as described in the Experimental section, satisfying the following equations (1) and/or (2)
X is greater than −0.026 ln(MI2)+0.0498 (1)
X is greater than −0.026 ln(HLMI)+0.1334 (2)
with Mw being the weight-average molecular weight and Mn being the number-average molecular weight.
The present invention also relates to articles comprising said polyethylene resin as well as process for preparing said resin.-

摘要: The invention relates to a polypropylene composition comprising: (A) a first polypropylene which is a metallocene-catalyzed homopolymer, or a metallocene-catalyzed random copolymer of propylene and of a co-monomer having at most 0.5% by weight of co-monomer content, relative to the total weight of the random copolymer, as determined by 13C NMR analysis; and (B) a second polypropylene which is a metallocene-catalyzed random copolymer of propylene and of a co-monomer; wherein said polypropylene composition is as defined in claim 1. The present invention also relates to a process for the preparation of said polypropylene composition. The present invention also relates to an article comprising said polypropylene composition.

摘要: A process may include providing a polyethylene post consumer resin, providing a virgin polyethylene resin, and blending the polyethylene post consumer resin with the virgin polyethylene resin to produce a composition. The polyethylene post consumer resin may have an ESCR of at most 10 hours, a density ranging from 0.950 to 0.967 g/cm3, and an HLMI of 40 to 70 g/10 min. The virgin polyethylene resin may include fractions A and B, with fraction A having a higher molecular weight and lower density than fraction B. Fraction A may have an HL275 of at least 0.1 g/10 min and of at most 4 g/10 min, and a density of at least 0.920 g/cm3 and of at most 0.942 g/cm. The virgin polyethylene resin may have an HLMI of 5 to 75 g/10 min, and a density ranging from 0.945 to 0.960 g/cm3.

The present invention also relates to an article comprising said resin.

摘要: The present invention relates to an injection-molded article, comprising at least one metallocene-catalyzed polyethylene resin comprising at least two metallocene-catalyzed polyethylene fractions A and B, wherein the at least one metallocene-catalyzed polyethylene resin comprises: at least 40% to at most 50% by weight of polyethylene fraction A based on the total weight of the at least one metallocene-catalyzed polyethylene resin, wherein fraction A has a melt index MI2 of at least 100.0 g/10 min as determined according to ISO 1133, condition D, at 190° C. and under a load of 2.16 kg; and wherein the at least one metallocene-catalyzed polyethylene resin has a density of at least 0.940 g/cm3 to at most 0.950 g/cm3 as measured on pellets according to ISO 1183 at 23° C.; a melt index MI2 of at least 1.4 g/10 min to at most 2.5 g/10 min as measured on pellets according to ISO 1133, condition D, at 190° C. and under a load of 2.16 kg. The present invention also relates to a process for preparing said injection-molded article, comprising the steps of a) providing at least one metallocene-catalyzed polyethylene resin as described herein; and b) injection-molding said polyethylene resin into an article.
