Abstract: A network device determines radio frequency (RF) conditions at a first endpoint and a second endpoint of a call or session. The network device determines optimum first codec parameters for the determined RF conditions at the first endpoint of the call or session, and determines optimum second codec parameters for the determined RF conditions at the second endpoint of the call or session. The network device sends the first codec parameters to the first endpoint for altering operation of a first codec at a first device at the first endpoint. The network device sends the second codec parameters to the second endpoint for altering operation of a second codec at a second device at the second endpoint.

Abstract: A user device registers with a proxy-call session control function device (P-CSCF) associated with an Internet protocol (IP) multimedia subsystem (IMS). The user device forwards a request to the P-CSCF requesting a session via the IMS for an IMS call. If a response to the request is not received from the P-CSCF during a time period after forwarding the request, the user device attempts to newly register with the P-CSCF. If the new registration is successful, the user device re-forwards the request to the P-CSCF. Otherwise, if the new registration with the P-CSCF is unsuccessful, the user device registers with a different P-CSCF and forwards the request to the second P-CSCF.

Abstract: A system described herein may receive, from a User Equipment (“UE”) via a first network, a request to establish a communication session. The system may determine, based on one or more attributes of the request, that the requested communication session should be established between the UE and a gateway device that is communicatively coupled to a second network. The system may establish, based on the determining, the communication session between the UE and the gateway device. The UE may output communications to the gateway device via the established communication session, and the gateway device may forward the communications received via the communication session to an Internet Protocol (“IP”) Multimedia Subsystem (“IMS”) core of the second network. In this manner, the UE connected to the first network may receive multimedia services provided by the IMS core of the second network.

Abstract: A device may receive, from a user equipment, a token request associated with an application, wherein the token request is associated with a device identifier. The device may generate a device token for the application and the user equipment. The device may provide, using the device identifier, the device token to the user equipment to enable a user to access the application via an application platform. The device may receive, from the application platform, a slice request for a network slice of a network that is to be used for an application session. The device may determine that the user equipment is associated with the application session based on the device token and the device identifier. The first user device and the second user device may share a destination address. The device may receive a first message associated with a call. The first message may be received based on the call having been made to the destination address. The device may determine, based on the information, whether to provide a second message associated with the call or a notification associated with the call. The device may selectively provide the second message or the notification based on determining whether to provide the second message or the notification.
