Abstract:
A method of operating a dishwasher having multiple wash chambers, with each wash chamber executing a different cycle of operation, and liquid from one chamber may be reused in the other chamber.
Abstract:
An automatic dishwasher having a tub defining a treating chamber and a housing physically separate from the tub and defining a sump to receive liquid sprayed into the tub, the housing having an inlet fluidly connected to a liquid outlet of the tub and an outlet fluidly coupled to a sprayer located within the tub to define a recirculation path for the sprayed liquid.
Abstract:
A method of operating a dishwasher having a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber for receiving utensils and a spraying system spraying liquid in the treating chamber, to determine at least one parameter of the cycle of operation based on the set of load condition by selectively spraying liquid in multiple portions of the treating chamber.
Abstract:
A dishwasher includes an open-face tub and a closure element selectively closing the open face of the tub and housing a user interface powered by a rechargeable power supply, such as a battery, operatively coupled to a power charger. In one embodiment, the user interface is not removable from the closure element, and the power charger may be remote from the closure element to selectively provide power to the rechargeable power supply. In another embodiment, the closure element may include a first door and a second door, with each door having an inductive part for formation of an inductive coupling to charge the rechargeable power supply when the doors are in juxtaposition.
Abstract:
A system and method for controlling an appliance with respect to the appliance's energy usage, in which a signal relating to the energy used by the appliance is received, and a determination of whether to continue or interrupt a cycle of operation being conducted by the appliance is made based at least on part upon the receipt of the signal.
Abstract:
An example vent assembly for a dishwasher having a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber, and an exhaust vent, includes a condenser having an outlet, and an inlet in fluid communication with the treating chamber, an ambient air cooling duct in thermal communication with the condenser, and having an outlet in fluid communication with the exhaust vent, a venturi having an inlet in communication with the outlet of the condenser, and an outlet in communication with the cooling duct, and a fan for flowing ambient air through the cooling duct, past the venturi, and out the exhaust vent.
Abstract:
A glasses rack for a dishwasher may be configured to hold glasses in an inclined position. The glasses may be inclined at a predetermined angle relative to horizontal to allow draining of treating liquid from the glasses yet achieve a reduced overall height of the dish rack relative to a conventional dish rack. A bottom wall of the dish rack may be inclined at an angle that matches an effective inclination angle of an upper, tiered dish rack, and the bottom wall inclination angle may correspond to the glasses inclination angle. A sprayer may be mounted to the dish rack and arranged to spray treating liquid into the interior of the glasses.
Abstract:
A dish rack for use in a dishwasher is provided. The dishwasher includes a tub defining a washing chamber for cleaning kitchenware and the like. The dish rack includes a wall bounding a space. A dispenser unit is mounted to the dish rack and is configured to hold an additive. A hydraulic circuit is disposed within the walls of the dish rack and is placed in fluid communication with the dispenser. Fluid pressure from the hydraulic circuit is operable to eject the additive from the dispenser unit into the washing chamber.
Abstract:
A dish rack for use in a dishwasher is provided. The dish rack includes a front wall, a pair of spaced apart and opposite side walls, and a back wall interconnected so as to bound a space. A hydraulic circuit is disposed within the walls of the dish rack and a spray nozzle is mounted on the wall.
Abstract:
A dishwasher may include a tub and a divider located within the tub to divide the interior into a first treating chamber and a second treating chamber. The relative size of the first and second treating chambers may be adjusted by moving the divider relative to the tub.
