    Abstract: A food processing machine having a base and a cylindrical jar lock extending upwardly from a top surface of the base. A jar assembly has a jar and a collar that extends downwardly from the jar. The collar is adapted to fit circumferentially around the cylindrical jar lock. A plurality of locking tabs extend radially inwardly from the collar. The locking tabs engage with the cylindrical jar lock and prevent vertical movement of the jar while allowing rotational movement of the jar and linear movement of the jar with respect to the base in the xy-plane. The cylindrical jar lock is optionally spring-mounted to the base to provide dampened movement in the vertical direction of the cylindrical jar lock with respect to the base.

    Abstract: A food processor of one design includes a housing including a motor and a coupling for rotating a food processing implement. The housing receives a feed chute assembly with a receiving chute for food to be processed. The feed chute assembly also includes an aligned discharge chute communicating with a processing implement, such that food is processed linearly from the receiving chute to the discharge chute. The housing has an open front for receiving containers for food processed by said food processor. This results in a smaller food processor which is capable of directly feeding processed food into a container separate from the food processor itself.

    Abstract: A mixing beater for a stand mixer includes a collar configured to removably couple the mixing beater with the stand mixer. A frame is coupled with the collar and includes a pair of opposing first and second arms. The first and second arms are coupled at their respective distal ends by a frame tip. A central axis of the mixing beater extends through the frame tip, between the opposing first and second arms. A plurality of ribs extends between the first and second arms. Each rib has a rib central axis that extends orthogonal to the central axis of the mixing beater and each of the plurality of ribs is spaced from an adjacent rib to define a space between adjacent ribs.

    Abstract: A blender assembly includes a blender jar having a bottom wall. The bottom wall includes first and second surfaces opposing one another and an interior edge defining an opening. A bearing housing is positioned at least partially within the opening and is spaced apart from the first surface of the bottom wall and the interior edge of the bottom wall. A nut is operably coupled with the bearing housing and is spaced apart from a second surface of the bottom wall. A gasket assembly is positioned to maintain a spacing of the bearing housing and the nut relative to the bottom wall. The gasket assembly is positioned over the interior edge of the bottom wall.
