    Abstract: A liquid crystal display assembly and an electronic device are provided. The liquid crystal display assembly includes: a touch screen, an upper substrate in parallel to the touch screen, a lower substrate in parallel to the upper substrate, a liquid crystal layer embedded between the upper and lower substrates, an upper polarizing plate and a lower polarizing plate attached to one side of the upper substrate and one side of the lower substrate which are opposite to the liquid crystal layer, respectively, and at least one fingerprint recognition sensor, at least one optical proximity sensor and a control chip. The at least one fingerprint recognition sensor and the at least one optical proximity sensor are respectively disposed between the upper polarizing plate and the lower polarizing plate, and the fingerprint recognition sensor is electrically connected to the control chip.

    Abstract: Methods and an apparatus for setting brightness of a display screen of an electronic device based on ambient light brightness. The method includes acquiring by a light sensor on the electronic device a measured brightness of ambient light having an actual ambient brightness at where the electronic device is located; detecting whether the light sensor faces away from a light source in the environment; when it is detected that the light sensor does not face away from the light source, determining a reference backlight brightness level according to a backlight brightness level-setting function comprising a correspondence between actual ambient brightness levels and backlight brightness levels, by using the measured brightness as actual ambient brightness; and setting an actual backlight brightness of the backlighted display screen to the reference backlight brightness level; and when it is detected that the light sensor faces away from the light source, setting the actual backlight brightness of the backlighted display screen at a level different from the reference backlight brightness level.

    Abstract: A display method, device and a computer-readable medium are provided. The method includes: detecting whether there is any change in a displayed content for the display; in response to detecting that the displayed content for the display does not change, controlling the display to alternately update display data corresponding to a first portion and a second portion of display units in each row when the display unit comprises m rows of pixels; and in response to detecting that the displayed content for the display does not change, controlling the display to alternately update display data corresponding to a third portion and a fourth portion of display units in each column when the display unit comprises n columns of pixels. Herein m and n are positive integers. Thus, screen flicker caused by reduction of refresh frequency of a display while the display content does not change can be avoided.

The method include acquiring a grayscale value of each row of a content displayed on a liquid crystal panel, determining whether the pixel grayscale values of a plurality the pixels in the i-th row of the displayed content are lower than a predetermined value, setting a refresh rate of the i-th row of the displayed content to a first refresh rate when the grayscale values of the plurality of pixels in the i-th row are below the predetermined value, determining whether at least one pixel grayscale value of the pixels in the j-th row is not lower than the predetermined value, and setting a refresh rate of the j-th row in the displayed content to a second refresh rate if at least one pixel grayscale value of the pixels in the j-th row is not lower than a predetermined value. The first refresh rate is lower than the second.

    Abstract: A method, device and a computer-readable storage medium for fingerprint recognition are provided. The method for fingerprint recognition may be applied to an electronic device including a liquid crystal display, and the liquid crystal display has fingerprint recognition sensors and optical proximity sensors. The method includes: acquiring a fingerprint recognition instruction; determining an area made up of a part of the optical proximity sensors after acquisition of the fingerprint recognition instruction, the distance between each of the part of the optical proximity sensor and a touch operation being less than a predetermined distance threshold; selecting a part of the fingerprint recognition sensors according to the area; and controlling the selected part of the fingerprint recognition sensors to perform fingerprint recognition.
