A radiation curable organopolysiloxane-containing composition is disclosed which is curable by the irradiation with actinic rays in a relatively low dose to give a cured layer having excellent surface-releasability so that the composition is useful, for example, as a coating agent of release paper for temporary protection of adhesive surface. The composition comprises (a) 0.1 to 20 parts by weight of a linear organopolysiloxane having at least one vinylphenyl or isopropenylphenyl group bonded to only one of the terminal silicon atoms in the molecular chain and (b) 99.9 to 80 parts by weight of a (meth)acrylate compound which is a (meth)acrylic acid ester of a polyhydric alcohol or a polyester of a polyhydric alcohol and a dibasic carboxylic acid esterified with (meth)acrylic acid at the residual hydroxy groups.

A release silicone emulsion composition comprising:(A) 100 parts by weight of a specific organovinylpolysiloxane;(B) from 1 to 50 parts by weight of a specific organohydrogenpolysiloxane;(C) from 0.5 part to 5 parts by weight of a platinum catalyst having a viscosity of 10 cSt or less at 25.degree. C.;(D) from 1.5 to 15 parts by weight of a nonionic emulsifying agent having an average HLB of from 10 to 20, pH of 6.5 or less and an ionic conductivity of 30 .mu..OMEGA..sup.-1 cm.sup.-1 or less; and(E) water.This composition has good pot life and curability. The cured film had good release properties and residual adhesive properties of adhesives.

The invention provides a method for improving the stability of the surface-releasing performance of a silicone-coated release paper so as to minimize the changes in the peeling resistance between the release paper and an adhesive surface bonded thereto even after lapse of time from preparation of the release paper to bonding of the adhesive surface or from bonding of the adhesive surface to peeling thereof. The method comprises providing an overcoating layer of an organotin compound such as dibutyl tin diacetate on the surface of a cured coating layer of an organopolysiloxane composition comprising a vinyl-containing organopolysiloxane, an organohydrogenpolysiloxane and a platinum catalyst to promote the addition reaction between the silicon-bonded vinyl groups and the silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms.

A coating composition comprising (A) a polyorganosiloxane graft copolymer emulsion, (B) a reaction product between an amino functional silane and/or a hydrolyzate thereof and an acid anhydride, (C) colloidal silica, (D) a curing catalyst, and (E) an inorganic filler is useful in coating exterior and interior building materials. The composition is applicable to a substrate to form a coating at room temperature having sufficient extensibility to follow cracks in the underlying substrate as well as low-to-high temperature sensitive performance, moisture permeability, flame retardance, and decorative effect.

So-called addition-type curable organopolysiloxane compositions curable by the hydrosilation reaction between vinyl groups of a dimethylpolysiloxane and hydrogen atoms directly bonded to the silicon atoms in a methylhydrogenpolysiloxane in the presence of a platinum catalyst can be imparted with a greatly increased pot life to have improved workability when the composition is admixed with a halogen- or alkoxy-substituted olefinic organic compound such as allyl halides, 1,3- and 2,3-dihalogenopropenes, 2-alkyl-3-halogenopropenes, 1,3- and 1,4-dihalogenobutenes-2 and alkyl allyl ethers as a moderator of the crosslinking reaction without any adverse effect on the curability of the composition.
