Abstract: A water-based coating makes it possible to provide a highly water-repellent coating film and has excellent film formability. Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a coating composition which gives a substrate excellent feel, abrasion resistance, stain resistance, flame retardancy, and weather resistance; and an article, furniture and a building interior material having a coating formed from the aforesaid coating composition. The present invention provides a coating composition comprising the following components (A) to (D): (A) an emulsion of a silicone acrylic copolymer resin which is a copolymer of 60 to 99 parts by mass of (a1) a polyorganosiloxane represented by the formula (1) and 1 to 40 parts by mass of (a2) an acrylic acid ester monomer and/or a methacrylic acid ester monomer, provided that a total amount of components (a1) and (a2) is 100 parts by mass, the emulsion being in an amount of 0.5 to 20 parts by mass as a solid content, (B) at least one resin emulsion in an amount of 20 to 80 parts by mass as a solid content, selected from the group consisting of acrylic resin emulsions other than component (A), urethane resin emulsions and alkyd resin emulsions, (C) pigment in an amount of 1 to 50 parts by mass, and (D) a flame retardant in an amount of 1 to 10 parts by mass, provided that a total mass of the solid contents of components (A) and (B) and the amounts of components (C) and (D) is 100 parts by mass.

Abstract: A hydrosilylation curable textile coating composition comprises: (a) a linear organopolysiloxane polymer having at least two alkenyl and/or alkynyl groups per molecule; (b) a reinforcing filler comprising at least one of fumed silica, precipitated silica, or calcium carbonate; (c) a linear trimethyl terminated polydimethyl methylhydrogen siloxane containing at least two silicon-bonded hydrogen groups per molecule; Ld) a hydrosilylation cure catalyst; (e) an organosilicon resin; and (f) an adhesion promoter comprising a mixture and/or reaction product of: (i) one or more alkoxysilanes having an epoxy group in the molecule; (ii) a linear organopolysiloxane oligomer containing at least one alkenyl group and at least one hydroxy or alkoxy group per molecule; and (iii) an organometallic condensation reaction catalyst comprising organoaluminum or organozirconium compounds. Air bags and air bag fabrics can be coated with the hydrosilylation curable textile coating composition, and the resulting air bags and fabrics generally have enhanced scrub resistance.

Abstract: A thermoplastic composition includes: 40 to 75 wt % of a poly(carbonate-siloxane-arylate); 5 to 45 wt % of a poly(carbonate-siloxane) present in an amount effective to provide 0.75 to 7 wt % of siloxane units; 10 to 40 wt % of a polycarbonate homopolymer; 5 to 15 wt % of an organophosphorus compound in an amount effective to provide 0.1 to 1 wt % of phosphorus; and optionally, 0.1 to 10 wt % of an additive composition. The thermoplastic composition has a melt volume flow rate of greater than 6 cm3/10 min. An article molded from the thermoplastic composition has a 2-minute integrated heat release rate of less than or equal to 65 kW-min/m2 and a peak heat release rate of less than 65 kW/m2 and a notched Izod impact resistance of greater than 30 kJ/m2 or greater than 700 J/m2.
