Abstract:
Embodiments herein relate to systems, apparatuses, or processes directed to packages that include one or more glass cores that have thin film capacitors on one or more sides of the one or more glass cores. The film capacitors may be formed in-situ on the glass cores during substrate manufacturing. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides catalysts for olefin polymerization comprising titanium, silicon, magnesium, phosphorus, at least one internal electron donor compound, and at least one halogen, processes for preparing the catalysts for olefin polymerization, and processes for olefin polymerization using the catalysts for olefin polymerization.
Abstract:
A dual traction cutout ramp having a top surface and a back surface, and having plurality of apertures punched through the top and the back surfaces in alternative forming protrusions and indentations throughout the surface of the ramp. This dual traction cutout ramp can remove mud and dirt from the wheels of vehicles that move onto the ramp.
Abstract:
Exemplary embodiments for providing multi-bit error correction based on a BCH code are provided. In one such embodiment, the following operations are repeatedly performed, including shifting each bit of the BCH code rightward by 1 bit while filling the bit vacated due to the rightward shifting in the BCH code with 0, calculating syndrome values corresponding to the shifting of the BCH code, and determining a first error number in the BCH code under the shifting based on the syndrome values corresponding to the shifting of the BCH code. In the case where the first error number is not equal to 0, modified syndrome values are calculated corresponding to the shifting of the BCH code. The modified syndrome values are those corresponding to the case that the current rightmost bit of the BCH code under the shifting is changed to the inverse value. Additional operations are performed as described herein.
Abstract:
Apparatuses and methods are provided for determining electrode impedances of a bioelectric signal-monitoring/recording system that includes an amplifier, and electrodes connected between a subject and the amplifier. An example apparatus includes: a voltage source outputting a voltage signal; a switching arrangement including an input electrically connected with the voltage source for receiving the voltage signal, an output electrically connected with the amplifier and the electrodes, and switches between the input and the output; and a controller in communication with the switches for opening and closing the switches to establish signal paths between the voltage source and the output, the controller calculating the electrode impedances relative to voltage outputs of the amplifier for each signal path.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a high-performance computer vision system and method for measuring the wings deformation of insects with high flapping-frequency, large stroke-amplitude and excellent mobility during free-flight. A geometrical optic unit composed of a polyhedral reflector with four reflection-planes and four planar reflectors is used to image one high-speed CMOS camera to four virtual cameras, combined with double laser-sheet sources, multiple virtual stereo and structured-light sensors are available to observe the free-flight of insect at different viewpoints simultaneously. In addition, an optoelectronic guiding equipment is included to lead the free-flight of insect and trigger the camera to capture the image sequences of insect-flight automatically. The deformation of insect-wings can be reconstructed by the spatial coordinates of wing-edges and the distorted light-lines projected on the surface of wings.
