摘要: An electronic apparatus and a booting method thereof are provided. First boot partition information of the electronic apparatus recorded at previous booting is obtained. Second boot partition information at current booting is obtained. Next, the first boot partition information and the second boot partition information are compared, so as to update the first boot partition information with a changed entry. Thereafter, a boot order is decided according to the updated first boot partition information.

摘要: A cloud computing system and a data accessing method thereof are provided. A memory data of a user is received in a client device. The memory data is uploaded to a personal database system in a cloud service device through the Internet. When the user wants to view the memory data, a data obtaining command is sent from the client device to the cloud service device through the Internet. After the cloud service device receives the data obtaining command, the corresponding memory data is read from the personal database system and sent to the client device through the Internet.

摘要: An abnormal status detecting method of interrupt pins is provided. In the invention, an advanced configuration and power interface (ACPI) table is looked up for obtaining an interrupt status bit of each interrupt pin in a computer system. Afterwards, the interrupt status bit is continuously checked whether it is maintained at a specific value during a fixed time. When the interrupt status bit of one of the interrupt pins is maintained at the specific value during the fixed time, the interrupt pin is determined to be abnormal.

摘要: A method for dynamically arranging interrupt pins is provided, which is suitable for arranging a plurality of interrupt pins of a control chip. In this method, a number of interrupts sent from each of a plurality of device paths in a unit time is detected. The device paths are sorted according to the interrupt numbers thereof. Then, from the one in the head of the sequence, the devices paths are arranged to the interrupt pins. Herein, when arranging a device path, an interrupt checking number required to check the device path sending the interrupt every time an interrupt is produced in each of the interrupt pins is calculated. Then, when arranging the next device path, the device path is arranged to the interrupt pin with the least interrupt checking number.

摘要: A data protection method of a storage device, applied in a computer having a storage device, is provided. The storage device is consisted of a plurality of blocks. The method includes the following steps. When a data containing a plurality of bit data is stored in the storage device in the computer, the stored bit data is checked bit by bit. If an incorrect bit data is checked, the data in the block containing the incorrect bit data is backed up to a reserved block. Therefore, the memory capacity of the storage device is not occupied while backing up data, so as to improve the reliability of the computer.

摘要: A method and a system for automatically diagnosing disability of computer peripheral devices are provided. In the method, a set of interrupt configuration data relevant to a disabled PCI peripheral device, including relevant setting values of a hardware IRQ routing, is input and compared with a PCI IRQ routing table pre-stored in a boot control unit. Then, whether errors exist in the current setting values of the relevant control parameters and flags of all the relevant control units are automatically checked. If an incorrect setting value is found, a corresponding diagnosis result message is displayed for informing the user to make a modification. Therefore, users can know the reasons that cause the computer peripheral device to operate abnormally and make the modification quickly and effectively.

摘要: A data protection method of a storage device is provided. In the method, a system management interrupt program orders a hardware control unit to obtain a type and an address message of an error in a block in a first storage device, and stores the type and address message in a second storage device. An interrupt service routine (ISR) reads the type and address message of the error from the second storage device. The ISR orders an operating system to search for a block that may be accessed normally and not damaged in the first storage device, and sets the block as a reserved block. The ISR transmits the address message of the error to the OS, such that the OS copies the data in the block having the error to the reserved block, thereby increasing the available capacity of the storage device and improving the reliability of the computer.

摘要: A computer program runtime bottleneck diagnostic method and system is proposed, which is designed for use in conjunction with a computer platform for providing a BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) POST (Power On Self Test) runtime bottleneck diagnostic function, which is characterized by the capability of recording the runtime length of each of the constituent code modules of the BIOS POST routine during runtime such that a diagnostic report in electronic form can be generate to show which one of the constituent code modules of the BIOS POST routine is most time-consuming during runtime to allow BIOS POST program developers to make modifications to the code to make it more optimized and thus more efficient to run with a reduced runtime length. This feature allows the computer platforms with the optimized BIOS POST routine to have a faster startup time and thus more competitive on the market.
