    摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a detector for measuring the surface potential of a photosensitive member on which an electrostatic latent image is formed and a controller which regulates image formation plural times in accordance with the measured surface potential based on the length of time between image formations. In another aspect, the image forming apparatus includes a light source and a setting device for manually setting the quantity of light therefrom between a maximum and minimum value. A test sample of a predetermined optical density is arranged to be illuminated by the light source so as to produce a test light for projection onto a recording medium. A detector detects an electrical surface condition of the test-lighted recording medium. In response to the detected electrical surface conditions, and a controller regulates the image formation in accordance with the detector. The light from the light source is adjusted so that illumination of the test sample assumes a standard value intermediate the maximum and minimum values, and so that illumination of an original assumes the value set by the setting device.

    摘要： A color image processing system comprises a plurality of color image data generators each for generating color image data for different colors and a plurality of memories each for storing the color image data generated for each color by one of the color image data generators. A writing control device independently controls the speed at which color image data is written into respective ones of the plurality of memories. This control device includes an address counter for determining writing addresses of respective ones of the plurality of memories, a clock pulse generator, and a clock pulse control device for variably controlling the number of clock pulses supplied to the first address counter for determining the rate at which the writing addresses are determined. A read out device reads out the color image data stored in each of the memories and a recording device records the color image data for each color in response to output from the read out device. This color image processing system permits accurate registration of images reproduced on a single medium in each of the plurality of colors by independently adjusting the magnification of an image reproduced in each respective color. Thus complex and expensive optical elements, used in the past to adjust magnification of an image reproduced in each color, may be eliminated.

    摘要： The image forming method is executed by projecting a light image on a rotatable recording member to consecutively form electrostatic latent images corresponding to the light image, developing the latent images, projecting a predetermined amount of light onto a non-imaged area present between two consecutive latent images on the recording member to form an electrostatic image, detecting potential of the electrostatic image, and controlling the development of the latent images next to the electrostatic image detected during the detection of the potential in response to the detection results. This method is performed in the image forming apparatus which includes a rotatable recording member, processing units for projecting a light image onto the recording member to consecutively form electrostatic latent images corresponding to the light image, a developer unit for developing the latent images, a voltage applying circuit for applying a voltage to the developer unit, a projecting unit for projecting a predetermined amount of light onto a non-imaged area present between two consecutive latent images on the recording member, a detector for detecting surface potential of the non-imaged area, and a controller for controlling the voltage applying circuit in response to detection output from the detector in the development of the latent image next to the non-imaged area in the developer unit.
