    摘要: Systems and methods of delivering video content are provided. A method of delivering video content is provided that includes predicting a channel change request at a network device. The predicted channel change request indicates a predicted stream of video content. The method also includes generating a control signal at the network device related to the predicted channel change request and storing the control signal at a data storage device associated with the network device. In an illustrative embodiment, the network device stores the control signal when the network device is associated with a first data capacity. Additionally, the network device sends a video content request to a service provider server when the network device is associated with a second data capacity. The video content request is related to the predicted stream.

The method includes receiving performance data at a video quality prediction system where the performance data is related to a plurality of network elements of a network path linking a video-head end with a set-top box device. The method also includes predicting, based at least partially on the performance data, a quality of video content received at the set-top box device and determining whether the predicted quality of video content is greater than or equal to a video quality threshold. In addition, the method includes identifying at least one of the plurality of network elements not satisfying a performance requirement, based on the performance data, when the predicted quality of video content is less than the video quality threshold. Further, the method includes outputting data indicating the at least one network element not satisfying the performance requirement.

    摘要: Various embodiments of the inventive subject matter provide a framework that may be used to provide service level differentiation in an IPTV delivery system based on program content for any given television channel or programming. For example, for the same TV channel, different service levels may be offered and provided, with each level of service offering to individual subscribers. For example, in one embodiment service levels may be provided by varying the number and duration of commercials or the amount of display space afforded to commercials, value-added content and/or entertainment content in a particular channel. Accordingly, the systems and methods hereof allow service providers flexibility to provide IPTV advertisement and value-added content services. This service differentiation can be used to attract different levels of subscribers, increasing the penetration ratio of IPTV services, facilitate the delivery of effective advertisements to target subscribers, and/or increase revenue. In some cases, some subscribers will pay more money to watch TV with fewer ads and more value-added content. Other subscribers may be agreeable to watching more ads if they can receive TV for less money. Thus, providing customized live TV delivery service is may enable IPTV providers to improve penetration ratio and increase revenue.

A voltmeter and ammeter take readings from the wireless transceiver circuit while the wireless communications device is on. A power logic stored on a memory within the wireless communications device converts the readings into a wireless power transmission level. The wireless power transmission level is output to an indicator on the wireless communications device where a user can view it. Exemplary embodiments include a true battery life indicator on the wireless communications device. The true battery life indicator gives an amount of time a battery powering the wireless communications device will last at the current wireless power transmission level.
