    摘要: Systems and methods are provided for generating a customized media asset to incentivize a first user to subscribe to a subscription service. A first user provides their subscription access information to a media provider. In response to receiving the subscription access information, the media provider determines whether the subscription access information is from an account subscribed for a trial period. If the account is subscribed for the trial period, the media provider presents a plurality of media assets for selection to the first user, receives a selection of a media asset available from the subscription service, generates a customized media asset based on a media asset consumption profile of the first user, wherein the customized media asset includes a segment from an additional media asset different from the selected media asset, and presents to the first user the customized media asset instead of the selected media asset.

A method includes receiving, by a first application operating on an application server, a live session request from a second application operating on a user device separate from the application server to start a Framework for Live Uplink Streaming (FLUS) session; obtaining a list of a plurality of FLUS sinks; selecting a FLUS media sink operating on a sink device from among the plurality of FLUS sinks, wherein the sink device is separate from the application server and the user device; sending a workflow request to a Network-Based Media Processing (NBMP) source to start an NBMP workflow associated with the FLUS media sink; and sending a response to the second application including session information for establishing the FLUS session using the NBMP workflow and the FLUS media sink.

    摘要: For broadcast-grade service level guarantees for linear video Playout, it is important for Playout systems and the associated server hardware to be extremely reliable. To accomplish this both the Playout software and server hardware are tightly integrated in on-premise implementations. Playout systems on the cloud allow for leveraging cloud servers dynamically for running Playout systems. The present invention proposes a system and method redundant, cost-effective for time-advanced, server-independent cloud Playout, which is useful in a variety of scenarios including but not limited to accomplishing seamless redundancy, optimizing operating costs by choosing different service provider/regions/servers. This is achieved by pre-playing the channel ahead of schedule, and then passing it to the output through an intelligent delay buffer. By switching Playout across multiple servers by instantiating new Playout software on another cloud server without impacting the linear output feed streamed out of the delay buffer we accomplish a server independent Playout system.
