摘要: An oil-based inkjet ink can be provided that prevents adhesion of the ink to the nozzle plate, thereby preventing ink misfires and discharge defects from the inkjet nozzles. The oil-based inkjet ink contains a pigment, a non-aqueous solvent, and a compound represented by general formula (1) shown below. (In general formula (1), m represents 1 or 2, each of R1 and R2 independently represents a monovalent saturated hydrocarbon group, R3 represents a single bond or a divalent saturated hydrocarbon group, and R4 represents a monovalent or divalent saturated hydrocarbon group.)

摘要: An image processing apparatus is equipped with: an image data receiving unit that receives image data; and a print data generating unit that generates multiple value data as print data by performing a halftone process on the image data and converting the image data into at least three values. The print data generating unit administers a halftone process that includes a density fluctuation suppressing process that results in the print data always including a zero value except for a case in which all of the pixels that constitute the image data are converted into a maximum value.

摘要: An ink mist recovery device allows suction of ink mist with uniform suction force irrespective of a position on a confronting sheet. The ink mist recovery device includes a recovery casing having multiple suction ports confronting a sheet, and a suction unit connected to the recovery casing. At least one of a size of each of the suction ports and a first suction distance from each of the suction ports to a suction slit is set in accordance with a second suction distance from the suction unit to the suction slit via each of the suction ports so that the suction force is kept uniform at the respective positions on the sheet corresponding to the suction ports. The mist suction force is made uniform over the entire width of the suction slit to improve quality of the printed image without sucking ink droplets required to land.

摘要: A printing apparatus includes: a conveyor including a first pair of conveyance rollers and a second pair of conveyance rollers each configured to nip and convey a sheet; a first jam releaser configured to separate rollers of the first pair of conveyance rollers from each other; a second jam releaser configured to separate rollers of the second pair of conveyance rollers from each other; and a controller configured to control the conveyor. In stopping sheet conveyance by the conveyor upon occurrence of a failure, the controller controls the conveyor to prevent a sheet from being nipped only by the first pair of conveyance rollers prior to separation of the rollers of the first pair of conveyance rollers from each other by the first jam releaser.
