摘要: Embodiments include methods for a user equipment (UE) configured for application-layer measurements in a radio access network (RAN). Such methods include receiving one or more configurations of application-layer measurements to be performed by the UE while the UE is connected to the RAN and, in response to an interruption in the UE's connection to the RAN while the CE is configured to perform the application-layer measurements, sending to the RAN a request to resume the UE's connection or a request to reestablish the UE's connection. Such methods also include, in response to the request sent to the RAN, receiving from the RAN a command to setup a new connection to the RAN and in response to the command, releasing the received configurations and discarding any stored application-layer measurement reports. Other embodiments include complementary methods for RAN nodes, as well as UEs and RAN nodes configured to perform such methods.

摘要: The present disclosure provides a method of configuring a Radio Access Network (RAN) node to use one or more RAN functions. The method comprises obtaining input data for the RAN node, in which the input data comprises configuration information performance information for the RAN node. Based on the input data, one or more target performance indicators and a constraint on one or more resources for the RAN node, an optimisation process is used to select one or more RAN functions for activation by the RAN node. The optimisation process uses one or more models for predicting, based on the input data and a selection of RAN functions, usage of the one or more resources and a value of the one or more target performance indicators. The RAN node is configured to use the one or more selected RAN functions.

摘要: A backscatter radio system having a transceiver module and a transponder. The transceiver module is configured to generate and transmit a radio frequency pulse signal with Pulse Position Modulation (PPM). The generated radio frequency pulse signal includes a power and information transferring pulse and a time reference pulse within a dual symbol duration comprising a first and a second symbol periods. The power and information transferring pulse enables a power injection to a rectifier circuit in the transponder and the time reference pulse enables an excitation of a resonance signal in a resonance circuit in the transponder. A response radio frequency pulse signal with PPM is generated using the resonance signal generated in the resonance circuit with a time offset such that the first and second symbol periods are separated in the time domain.
