Abstract:
A content discharge mechanism of a pump type container, which prevents the position of a content discharge outlet from moving following discharge operation is disclosed. The mechanism includes an operation button 1; a sheath-shaped piston 2 interlocking with the operation button 1; a suction valve including annular reception surface 3c and spherical body 5 actuated in response to the movement of the sheath-shaped piston 2; an upstream passage A formed between the sheath-shaped piston 2 and the suction valve; a downstream passage B communicated with the upstream passage A and formed between it and a discharge outlet 8b; and a pressure storage type discharge valve including annular edge part 8a and annular tapered surface 9a. In a discharge finishing mode, the pressure in the contents is lowered by permitting the downstream side passage B to be communicated with a passage outside space region E via a hole 3f, to close the discharge valve.
Abstract:
A food product including a liquid edible vegetable oil containing composition and dispensing article is provided. The article includes a reservoir for receiving a liquid composition and an operating unit for dispensing the vegetable oil containing composition as a spray. The operating unit is in fluid communication with and positioned above the reservoir fitting by way of a suitable seal over an open end of the reservoir. The unit includes a button positioned concentrically above a shroud, and a mechanical liquid pump mechanism. The pump includes a body having an upper end and a lower end, having inner walls. The upper end is surrounded by a collar. A piston, movable within the body, is seated within collar and is movable therein. The piston is provided at its bottom end with a piston base and a gasket positioned between them. The piston base is positioned at its lower end adjacent a spring system. The spring system functions to return the piston of the liquid pump to an un-activated position. A liner device is inserted to concentrically surround the body at the bottom of the piston so as to restrict liquid composition flow through the vents and between the piston and the collar. Substantially no liquid drip is achieved with the mechanical pump mechanism in combination with the vegetable oil composition of the product.
Abstract:
With the subject invention, a pump is formed that generally includes a reservoir formed to accommodate at least one fluid dose, and a fluid-collecting chamber in fluid communication with the reservoir. The fluid-collecting chamber includes a dose-control portion which encompasses a volume defined by two dimensions. A first piston is disposed to urge fluid from the reservoir and at least into the dose-control portion. A second piston is disposed to reversibly slide within at least the dose-control portion of the fluid-collecting chamber. A nozzle is also provided which is located such that fluid displaced by the second piston from the dose-control portion is generally urged towards the nozzle. A check valve may be placed in the fluid path between the dose-control portion and the nozzle.
Abstract:
In a dispenser for liquid media, applicator of the dispenser is fixed to a medium reservoir. A finger rest for actuating the dispenser is configured such that it is axially displaceable relative to this subassembly. As advantageous refinements, a dispenser is proposed whose pump is realized as a user-independent pump, a variety of mechanical realizations being considered advantageous.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a dosing device with a medium reservoir. Dosing devices that comprise a medium reservoir and a pump device for dosing and dispensing a medium stored in the medium reservoir and pressure compensation means associated with the medium reservoir are known. According to the invention, the medium reservoir is provided with pressure-sensitive, flexible walls. The invention further relates to the use of said dosing device for dispensing pharmaceutical active substances.
Abstract:
An actuating head (12) of a double-acting pump (1) for ejecting a product (38) from a container (2) includes an outlet duct (13a-13d) leading to an ejection opening (16), wherein a closing piece (18) biased by a spring (17) is arranged in the outlet duct. The closing piece (18) directly seals the ejection opening (16) under the force of the spring (17) and the closing piece (18) releases as a result of the pressure exerted when actuating the double-acting pump (1) the flow of the product (38) through the outlet duct (13a-13d) and through the ejection opening (16) against the force of the spring (17). For simplifying the construction and for avoiding the danger of contamination of the product, it is ensured according to the present invention that a first outlet duct section (13d) following the ejection opening (16) is surrounded by a tube (15) in which the closing piece (18) is sealingly slideably guided and which is inserted in a bore (14) in the body of the actuating head (12), wherein the bore (14) defines between itself and the tube (15) an annular space forming a second outlet duct section (13b), wherein the annular space is connected through a third outlet duct section (13c) traversing the wall of the tube (15) to the first outlet duct section (13d).
Abstract:
A pump for fixing on a receptacle includes: a stationary portion including a pump body; a moving assembly movable relative to the pump body and co-operating therewith to define a variable-volume pump chamber; an opening in the pump body that enables the pump chamber to communicate with the inside of the receptacle and enables the pump to operate in a head-down position; an air intake passage, distinct from the opening, between the stationary portion and the moving assembly; a first lip configured to press in a leaktight manner against the pump body and to prevent communication via the opening between the inside of the receptacle and the pump chamber; and a second lip arranged, at least when the moving assembly is in an end-of-stroke position, to prevent communication through the inside of the pump body and via the opening between the inside of the receptacle and the outside.
Abstract:
An atomized liquid dispenser, comprising a pump and a dispensing head mounted on the stem of the pump, the head defining a chamber communicating with the stem and housing a movable piston urged by a spring to close a discharge nozzle provided at one end of the chamber. From the head there extends a skirt in which cuts are provided which define a flexible tang engaging one end of said piston projecting from said chamber. From the inner surface of the tang there projects a cam which, when the pump is operated, interferes with the pump or with an element rigid with it, to cause the tang to flex outwards and axially entrain the piston, so withdrawing it from the discharge nozzle.
