    摘要: An automatic lathe (10) is provided with a first spindle (14) having an axis of rotation (14a), a first tool rest (18) capable of holding a plurality of tools (22) in a parallel arrangement, a second tool rest (20) capable of holding a plurality of tools (22) in parallel arrangements in a first row and second row exhibiting mutually different nose orientations, and a second spindle (16) having an axis of rotation parallel to the axis of rotation of the first spindle and capable of being located facing the first spindle, in such a manner as to be centrally carried on a lathe bed (12). The first spindle can move linearly along a first control axis parallel to its axis of rotation. The first tool rest can move linearly along a second control axis perpendicular to the first control axis. The second tool rest can move linearly along a third control axis perpendicular to the first control axis and a fourth control axis parallel to the first control axis. The second spindle can move linearly along a fifth control axis parallel to the third control axis and a sixth control axis parallel to the first control axis. A control unit (106) enables simultaneous performance of first machining work relating to the first spindle by a desired tool selected at the first tool rest, second machining work relating to the first spindle by a desired tool selected from the first row at the second tool rest, and third machining work relating to the second spindle by a desired tool selected from the second row at the second tool rest.

    摘要: A numerically controlled automatic lathe comprises radial tools fanning out around that part of a bar of stock emerging from a guidance bush. Each of the tools is fastened to the end of a cylindrical slider guided by a bore of a fixed support. Each slider can be displaced within its bore by a gear which is fixed in the axial direction, engages a slider thread and meshes with a pinion gear of a stepping motor subject to numerical control and fastened to the support parallel to the slider. A sleeve permits centering the cutting edge of the tool by means of an offset screw, of which the tip transversely displaces a shoe constrained within a longitudinal groove of the slider.

    摘要: A turret head for a lathe has an axis about which it can be rotated, the axis being in use inclined at about 45.degree. to the axis of a spindle of the lathe. The head has a plurality of pairs of tool mounting surfaces, the pairs being spaced around the axis of the turrent head. The surfaces of each pair are substantially mutually perpendicular, and arranged so that one is perpendicular to the axis of the spindle, and the other parallel thereto, when the pair is brought to a working location by indexing the turret head about its axis.

A first air purging unit is provided between the inner circumferential surface of the cover and the outer circumferential surface of the cap.
