    摘要： A tyre changer and bead breaker having a cylinder actuated threaded shaft which when displaced urges a bead breaker holder against a tyre on a wheel positioned in the path of travel of the bead breaker to separate the bead from the rim, the tyre thereafter being positioned coaxially with respect to the shaft, and a tyre lever which when mounted on the shaft, is rotated upon displacement of the shaft whereby portion of the lever inserted between the wheel and the tyre removes the tyre from the wheel.

    摘要： A circular plate is provided with pins on one side for engaging lug holes of a Volkswagon wheel and is provided with pins on the other side for engaging lug holes of an eight-lug Pontiac wheel. The plate is also provided with a central hole for receiving the locking mechanism of a tire changer or the balancing head of a bubble wheel balancer. In addition, the plate may be provided with holes for receiving the hub cap retaining clips of the Volkswagon wheel and the spring-stop mechanism of a tire changer to provide a dual wheel mounting adapter for use in tire changing. Alternatively, the plate may be evenly balanced in weight about its central hole to provide a dual wheel mounting adapter for use in wheel balancing.

    摘要： An apparatus of the present invention is designed for assembling tires having a pair of spaced beads of various diameters and configurations with the respective wheels having a pair of seats moveable by a conveyor along an assembly path. A mounter station is disposed on the conveyor and presenting an alignment axis. A sealing mechanism is cooperable with the mounter station and is moveable around the alignment axis by a drive unit connected thereto for forcing at least one of the beads of the tire between the seats of the wheel. The apparatus accommodates a wide variety of wheel and tire sizes, is not complex and bulky, and reduces number of parts required to form the apparatus.

    摘要： A tire/wheel bead entrapment remover is disclosed. The tire/wheel bead entrapment remover includes one or more working assemblies having a circumferential perimeter that substantially engages a tire. The one ore more working assemblies axially-moves one of a wheel of the tire mounted to the wheel while axially-fixing the other of the tire or the wheel to remove one or more entrapments between a bead of the tire and a beat seat of the wheel. According to an embodiment, a tire/wheel bead entrapment remover includes one or more wheels that engages an outboard surface or an inboard surface of a tire mounted to a wheel. The radial axis extends through the one or more wheels. The radial axis traverses a radial line that radially extends from a common axis of rotation of the tire and the wheel. A method for removing an entrapment from a tire/wheel assembly is also disclosed.
