Abstract:
A tire changing tool head, or a mount/demount head for a tire changing machine, includes a head body and a tongue member. The tongue member is pivotally attached to the head body at a pivoting joint. The tongue member includes a tongue shoulder and a tongue blade for engaging a tire bead during tire installation. The tongue member includes a non-metal material, such as a polymer, for preventing wheel rim damage in some embodiments. The head body includes a bead lifter tool protruding therefrom. In some embodiments, the head body and bead lifter tool include a metal material.
Abstract:
A bead guide (50) includes a columnar portion (51) having a cylindrical side surface, and a guide plate (52) extending from a distal end of the columnar portion (51). Through rotation of the bead guide (50), an expansion bar rotation driving section (41) selectively switches the bead guide (50) between a first position at which the guide plate (52) is retreated radially inwardly from an outer circumferential end of a wheel (H), and a second position at which at least a part of the guide plate (52) protrudes radially outwardly from the outer circumferential end of the wheel (H). The bead guide (50) is switched from the first position to the second position so that the guide plate (52) is caused to enter below an upper bead (TBU).
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a device for assembling-disassembling a tyred wheel (TW) comprising a support component, an extension or stem component connected to the support component, a working tool articulated to the extension or stem component and actuation means intended to drive the sliding of the extension or stem component with respect to the support component.
Abstract:
A wheel servicing machine includes a releasable swing arm clamp apparatus attached to a swing arm. The clamp engages a rod slidably attached to and extending from a slide bar mounted on the swing arm. The clamp includes a closed, or locked, position and an open, or unlocked, position. In the closed position, the apparatus includes a rod clamp that can be rotated about the rod for fine adjustment of the angular position of the swing arm. When the rod clamp is in the open position, the angular position of the swing arm can be coarsely adjusted by manually moving the swing arm about a pivoting arm joint. When the swing arm is moved near a desired position, the rod clamp can be closed and can be rotated about the rod in the closed position in some embodiments for fine adjustment of the swing arm angular position.
Abstract:
A tire spoon holder is provided. The tire spoon holder may include: a first and second handle; a first and second jaw, each jaw connected to at least one of the handles wherein the jaws are configured to come together when the handles are moved toward each other; and a loop attached to at least one jaw or handle. A method of attaching a tire spoon to a wheel rim may be provided. The method may include: attaching a tire spoon holder to a wheel rim; slipping a tire spoon through a loop in the tire spoon holder; and inserting a flat portion of the tire spoon between a tire and the wheel rim.

Abstract:
An apparatus enables a commercial vehicle tire hub drum to be attached and detached. The apparatus includes a main body frame having traveling wheels mounted on a lower part thereof and holding means that face forward from the main body frame for holding upright a circular load mounted on a commercial vehicle. An attachment/detachment means executes an attachment/detachment operation of the load from above the holding means. A position adjustment device coupled to the main body frame adjusts the position of the holding means and the attachment/detachment means. Accordingly, the apparatus uses a hydraulic device providing a hydraulic driving force to conveniently attach or detach a load of various sizes to a vehicle from a fixed position while simultaneously adjusting the vertical position of a load-holding means.

Abstract:
Described is an operating head (1) for a tire changer machine (2), having a longitudinal axis (L) and a supporting element (9) elongate along a transversal axis (T) relative to the longitudinal axis (L) and facing in a first direction, wherein the supporting element of (9) has a protrusion projecting along an operating direction (W) substantially perpendicular to a reference plane containing the longitudinal axis (L) and the transversal axis (T), and wherein the operating head (1) has a drive element (10), elongate along the transversal axis (T) in a second direction opposite the first direction in which the supporting element (9) faces and a fin (11) protruding in the operating direction (W) to define a guide surface (11a) inclined relative to a plane which is perpendicular to the reference plane and contains the longitudinal axis (L).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device for dismounting a tired wheel having a wheel rim (W) and a tire (T) mounted on the wheel rim (W), comprising: a support member (2), a bill or lever-shaped dismounting tool (4) having one end (4a) thereof articulated to the support member (2), and the other work end (4b) thereof substantially hook-shaped, and holding means for holding the tool (4) in an engagement and extraction position, the holding means comprising an elastically loaded pin (7).
