Abstract:
A processing apparatus of cards, etc., includes a stacker, which can lead a card overflowed from a main stacker automatically to an extension stacker. The apparatus includes a stacker provided by a main stacker, an extension stacker at the downstream side of the main stacker, and a switching mechanism for switching discharge of the card from the main stacker to the extension stacker. The switching mechanism includes a stopper to which a tip of the card overflowed from the main stacker is contacted and stopped, and a switching slope switching the discharged card from a main stacker discharging posture to an extension stacker discharging posture. When the card overflows from the main stacker, the card is contacted with the stopper and the switching slope is automatically switched to the extension stacker discharging posture, and the card next to the overflowed is discharged to the extension stacker with a correct order.
Abstract:
A link member is rotatably supported by a lifting plate. When the lifting plate moves upward and downward, the movement of the link member is guided by a guide portion provided on a link guide hole. Before sheet feeding starts, the movement of the link member is regulated by a holding portion provided on a lower end of the guide portion so as to hold the lifting plate in a standby position against a biasing force of a feed spring. When the sheet is fed, a feed cam rotating integrally with a feed roller presses the link member to release the link member from being locked by the holding portion of the link guide hole to thereby make the link member movable along the guide portion.
Abstract:
A device that is usable for delivering printed products includes two bucket or paddle wheels that can rotate about two different axes of rotation. Each bucket or paddle wheel includes a plurality of scoop-type elements that can receive printed products from a first or a second product flow. A gripper chain is guided around the two different axes of rotation. Grippers are arranged on the gripper chain and can grip and printed products received in the scoop-type element to thereby remove the product from the scoop. At least one device that will open the grippers, for release of the printed products held by the grippers, is arranged along the path of travel of the gripper chain.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a medium conveyance device whose reliability is enhanced. Namely, a roller conveyance section uses support parts to couple together an upper side shaft, which receives a first reaction force produced in accordance with a first contact-pressure force that urges first driven rollers toward first drive rollers, and a lower side shaft, which receives a second reaction force produced in accordance with a second contact-pressure force that urges second driven rollers toward second drive rollers. Because of this, the medium conveyance device of the present invention may cancel out the two reaction forces that cause an upper side guide and a lower side guide to bend in two bank note conveyance paths adjacent to one another.
Abstract:
A sheet detecting apparatus that detects a sheet has a lever member; a biasing portion that biases the lever member for a first position where the abutting surface abuts against the leading end of the sheet; a supporting mechanism that movably supports the lever member to move in an order of the first position, a second position, and a third position, while keeping a abutting surface of lever member facing upstream; an interlocking portion that interlocks with the lever member; and a detector that detects a position of the interlocking portion. The second position is a position to which the lever member moves by the sheet being conveyed against the biasing force of the biasing member, and the third position is a position where the abutting surface is positioned upstream in the sheet conveying direction of a position of the abutting surface at the second position and where the lever member abuts the surface of the sheet being conveyed and stands by to move to the first position when a trailing end of the sheet passes the lever member.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a sheet conveying apparatus, comprising: a conveying portion conveying a sheet; a shutter member having an abutting surface for abutting the sheet to correct skew feeding; a biasing member for biasing the shutter member to position at a first position where the leading end abuts against the abutting surface; and a support mechanism which movably supports the shutter member to move in an order of the first position, a second position to which the shutter member moves by the sheet against biasing from the biasing member, and a third position where the shutter member abuts the sheet and stands by to move to the first position when a trailing end of the sheet passes the shutter member, while keeping the abutting surface facing upstream.

Abstract:
An arrangement for mounting an ingestion assembly within a singulating apparatus operative to singulate and convey sheet material along a feed path. The mounting arrangement includes a radial bearing pivotally mounting the ingestion assembly to a stationary support structure of the singulating apparatus. The radial bearing is operative to pivot the singulating assembly from an operating position to an idle position about a pivot axis which is substantially orthogonal to the feed path of the sheet material. The mounting arrangement also includes an over-center mechanism disposed in combination with the radial bearing for biasing the ingestion assembly about the pivot axis such that the ingestion assembly is forcibly held in each of the operating and idle positions. Optimum space utilization and ease of use is provided by the radial bearing which cantilever mounts the ingestion assembly to the singulating apparatus.
Abstract:
A device is used to transfer printed products from the paddle wheel pockets of a paddle wheel or a delivery fan. A gripper chain carries a plurality of grippers which remove the printed products from the pockets without damaging them. A gripper chain drive wheel and the paddle wheel or wheels have a common axis of rotation but are driven separately from each other.
