The roller pressing mechanism includes a central pressing mechanism, and an outside pressing mechanism. The central pressing mechanism presses the central driven roller against the drive roller. The outside pressing mechanism presses the outside driven rollers against the drive roller.

    摘要: A roller nip assembly has a drive axle (with driver rollers) and a drive unit connected to a first end of the drive axle. The drive unit rotates the drive axle. In addition, a slotted mount is connected to a second end of the drive axle (opposite the first end). Additionally, an idler frame (with idler rollers) is positioned adjacent the drive axle. Further, a bias member is connected to the drive axle. The bias member moves the drive axle in the slotted mount to bias the drive rollers toward the idler rollers. The idler frame also includes a pivot structure. The bias member causes the drive axle to pivot. The pivot structure pivots the idler frame to compensate for the pivoting motion of the drive axle and to maintain pressure between the idler rollers and the drive rollers as the drive axle pivots.

    摘要: A sheet collecting apparatus has a sheet transport path for transporting a sheet, a tray device for bearing and storing sheets, a regulation stopper for regulating the sheet, a holding path to temporarily hold a sheet, an alignment roller to transport the sheet, and a control device for controlling transport of the sheet. The alignment roller adjusts a level of pressing force acting on the sheet transported onto the tray device. The control device has a first operation mode and a second operation mode. In the first operation mode, the alignment roller applies a transport force to the sheet by a predetermined pressing force after a rear end of the sheet is carried into the tray device, while in the second operation mode, changing the pressing force applied to the sheets from the alignment roller from a first pressing force to a second pressing force and applying varied transport force.

    摘要: A low inertia, low friction roller (12), which is particularly adapted for handling relatively high speed, relatively fragile running webs, comprises an inner tube (16) and an outer tube (14). The outer tube (14) is disposed substantially coaxially about the inner tube (16) and is rotatable with respect to the inner tube (16). An annular gap (46) is defined between the inner and outer tubes and has a first portion that is supplied with a restricted flow of a pressurized compressible fluid and that is adjacent the portion of the outer tube about which the web passes. A second portion of the annular gap is circumferentially spaced from the first portion of the annular gap and communicates with a fluid exhaust passage (66) in the inner tube. The dimensions of the annular gap are selected so that the fluid pressure in the first portion is greater than the fluid pressure in the second portion and so that the pressure of the fluid in the first portion of the annular gap will substantially balance the force exerted by the web on the outer tube as the web passes about the outer tube. The pair of bearing members is configured to rotatably support both ends of a rotating shaft of the driven roller. The bearing member has a supporting part and a pressing part. The supporting part is formed by winding an end portion on one side of a wire rod in a spiral shape. The supporting part has a shaft hole through which one end of the rotating shaft can be inserted. The pressing part is formed by winding an end portion on the other side of the wire rod in a spiral shape in an orthogonal direction to the rotating shaft. The pressing part is disposed so as to press the supporting part in a direction in which the driven roller comes into pressure contact with the outer face of the driving roller.
