    摘要: Mobile continuous ditch lining apparatus includes a supporting portion, a raw material supplying portion, a mixing portion, a mixture delviery portion, a matrix forming portion and a control portion. The supporting portion includes at least one base section with a carriage. The raw material supplying portion includes a plurality of reservoirs connected independently with the mixing portion through flexible conduits. A blanket support extends from the supporting portion. The mixing portion includes an elongated chamber with a plurality of deflector sections. The matrix forming portion includes elongated mixture delivery and pressure applying mechanisms. The control portion includes a pump, a valve and a flow monitor along the length of each conduit, a drive advancing a continuous porous blanket through the matrix forming portion and a programmable memory.A method of forming a ditch liner includes dispensing continuously a solidifiable liquid mixture uniformly over a continuously moving porous blanket. Pressure is applied thereto to form a continuous matrix therein. The rate of advance of the blanket is coordinated with the flow rate of the liquid mixture and the pressure applied thereto. The resulting liner is laid into a ditch continuously while still deformable and conformed and set in the configuration thereof. Also, the product formed with the above apparatus and method.

    摘要: An apparatus is disclosed for the continuous longitudinal construction for canals. The apparatus performs a series of sequential operations required for the construction of a canal. The apparatus performs planing of the surfaces of the sidewall slopes of the canal and the canal bed followed by a smooth surfacing of the planed surfaces with a suitable planing material.The apparatus during the canal construction adjusts to the angle defined by the opposed sloped walls of the canal and is adapted so that the ground-engaging carriages are held against the sloped walls. In this manner, the heavy bridging structures which, in the prior art, extend from one berm of the canal, across the canal, and to the other berm, are eliminated. In addition, two or more apparatus frames are pivotally connected one behind the other. In this manner, continuous adjusting at the connecting hinge is performed as the canal is constructed according to the varying parameters of the canal.

    摘要: An earthen structure for holding back a body of water has a sloped surface which is paved with an overlapping arrangement of strips constructed of castable material. Each strip is formed by conveying castable material from a mobile receiving hopper that is propelled adjacent to the base of the earthen structure. A bridge conveyor projects laterally from the receiving hopper over the slope. The bridge conveyor deposits the castable material onto the slope forwardly of a spreader device that is advanced longitudinally relative to the slope by a prime mover. A scraper blade of the spreader device is positioned at a preselected elevation by a forwardly projecting sidewall which is connected to the blade and slidable on a previously formed strip. The sidewall maintains the castable material in front of the blade, as the advancing blade spreads the material in a longitudinal strip of a preselected thickness and having a lateral edge extending a preselected lateral dimension outwardly from the sloped surface. The formed strip is compacted by a pair of vibrating rollers propelled in tandem relation behind the spreader device. The rollers have forming end portions that engage the lateral edge of the strip to round and compact the edge.
