摘要： A lock having a pin inserted into openings in the housing and the shaft to lock the shaft against movement relative to the housing. A lock guard is welded to the housing and a pin and ball receptacle is welded to the opposite side of the housing. A pin lock inserted through the lock guard, through the housing and the shaft into the pin and ball receptacle includes an outer pin containing a pair of ball bearings disposed within openings in the end of the outer pin. When inserted the pair of ball bearings are disposed adjacent to depressions in the inside surface of the pin and ball receptacle. A cylinder key lock is attached at the end opposite the key to a rotator which engages an inner pin. The inner pin has a large diameter section and a reduced diameter section at its end. When the large diameter section is in contact with the ball bearings, the ball bearings protrude through the outer pin and engage the depressions in the pin and ball receptacle to lock the outer pin to the pin and ball receptacle. When the inner pin is withdrawn so that the ball bearings are in contact with the reduced diameter section, the ball bearings can fall away from the depressions and the pin lock can be withdrawn from the housing.

摘要： A cartridge lock having an elongated body and a rotary disc assembly, locking shaft, and at least one bolting element disposed therein. The rotary disc assembly comprises a plurality of discs aligned concentrically within a cylinder, which cylinder is interconnected to one end of the locking shaft by means transmitting turning force thereto. The bolting element is disposed within an aperture within the body and is moved to a position partially protruding therefrom when a bearing surface of the locking shaft is rotated and presented to the bolting element. The rotation of the locking shaft is determined by key action turning the rotary disc assembly from a locked to an unlocked position and the reverse.

摘要： A conventional tubular lock is made pick-resistant by the inclusion of a specially designed washer. The washer, which has a non-circular opening, is provided in the lock interior. The washer is preferably located between the helical compression spring and the rear face of the slidable plunger. The opening in the washer permits the insertion of a specially shaped expandable key, but does not permit the insertion of an old style expandable key, or a nail or other similarly round picking tool which has a sufficiently large diameter to wedge in the rear bore of the plunger. Therefore, the specially designed washer permits the lock to be opened only by an authorized key, but not by a nail or an unauthorized key.

摘要： A plunger-type (barrel) lock has a spring loaded plunger which can only be properly retracted by the use of a key having a central rod, enlarged end sliding member and outwardly moving fingers for gripping engagement within a socket (cylinder bore) of the plunger. A movable, spring-biased eyelet is positioned adjacent the socket, such that an unauthorized key or tampering tool will grip the eyelet, rather than the plunger socket, failing to open the lock. The key has a toggle type operating lever including a tension relief element in the form of a spring, coacting with an internal collar of the key to allow some axial movement of the key's operating elements. Use of the collar allowing axial movement of the key's operating elements and complementing socket diameter of the plunger within the lock can provide security lock combinations for the user(s).

摘要： Attempts to pick the plunger-type (barrel) lock disclosed are frustrated by the necessity of holding one axially movable part in place against the force of a spring while retracting another axially movable member to open the lock. The key that opens the lock has a central pin stationary in use for holding back a position while radially spreading fingers frictionally engage and thereby permit withdrawal of an axially movable cylinder coaxial with the piston. A frangible member is provided for installing the lock without using the special key so that the number of keys can be strictly controlled. The key will open not only the lock of this invention, but also other kinds of plunger-type locks in common use by gas and electric utility companies.

A plurality of latch bolts is disposed in the body and adjacent to the closure. Each latch bolt is moveable through a corresponding one of the apertures and between a locked position, disposed at least partially outside of the body, and an unlocked position, disposed at least substantially within the body. A keeper is coupled to each of the latch bolts and configured to retain the latch bolt in the latched position and to bias the latch bolt for movement from the locked position to the unlocked position. A mechanism selectably engages each latch bolt to move the latch bolt to the locked position, and selectably disengages from the latch bolt to allow the keeper to move the latch bolt to the unlocked position.
