    摘要: The present invention refers to a process for preparing a dispersion which comprises codispersing in an aqueous medium a sucrose derivative represented by the following general formula (1), wherein substituents X1 to X8, being the same or different, are represented by a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an acyl group, with the proviso that at least four of the X1 to X8 substituents are different from hydrogen and that the total sum of the carbon atoms of X1 to X8 substituents is at least sixteen; and a photographic compound represented by the following general formula (2), wherein R and R1 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkylene group, a heterocyclic group or an aryl group; R2, R3 and R4 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group and R3 and R4 may be combined to form a 6-membered ring. 1 The present invention also refers to a photographic dispersion comprising a sucrose derivative represented by previous general formula (1) and a photographic compound represented by previous general formula (2) dispersed in an aqueous medium and to a photographic element comprising a film support base having coated on one side thereof at least one hydrophilic colloid emulsion layer comprising said photographic dispersion. The process of the present invention allows photographic dispersions to display a narrow drop size distribution curve even when stored for a long period of time (30 days) in cold room.

    摘要: An image forming method suitable for forming a color proof is disclosed. The method comprises (1) a step for exposing a silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material, which is comprised of a support having thereon photographic component layers including a yellow image-forming blue-sensitive, a magenta image forming green-sensitive and a cyan image-forming red-sensitive emulsion layer, to light through a transparent black-and-white halftone image and (2) a step for processing the exposed light-sensitive material to form a color image, wherein the photographic component layers contain a yellow water-soluble dye, a magenta water-soluble dye and a cyan water-soluble dyes and reflective densities of the silver halide color photographic material measured with light of 450 nm, 550 nm and 700 nm are each not less than 0.8, and toe portion gradations of characteristic curves of yellow, magenta and cyan images formed in the light-sensitive material by the processing are each not less than 1.7, and the toe portion gradations of the yellow, magnet and cyan image have the following relation:.vertline.1-.gamma..sub.A '/.gamma..sub.A .vertline..ltoreq.0.05wherein .gamma..sub.A ' is toe portion gradiation of one of the images, and .gamma..sub.A is that of another one of the images.
