Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for servicing and/or monitoring a field device (1) of process and automation technology. The invention includes that at least one photograph is taken of at least one section (2) of the field device (1), that the photograph is evaluated and/or processed in such a manner, that there results at least one piece of information concerning an access location (11) for field device data related to the field device (1), and/or information for identification of the field device (1), that a request for data is made to the access location (11), and that, in response to the request for data, field device data are supplied. Furthermore, the invention concerns a corresponding field device.
Abstract:
A system for unloading of a mobile farm implement is provided. The system includes a mobile farm implement including a container and an auger with an auger spout. The system includes a door controller configured to at least one of open and close a door of the container of the mobile farm implement so as to thereby operate said door. The system includes a power takeoff sensor configured to measure a rotational speed of a power takeoff. The system includes a control device including a processor and a memory coupled to the processor. The control device is connected to the power takeoff sensor and to the door controller. The control device is configured to make a determination as to whether the measured rotational speed of the power takeoff is above a first power takeoff rotational speed threshold, and to operate said door based on said determination.
Abstract:
A method of unloading mobile farm implements is presented. Unloading the mobile farm implement is accomplished by transmitting commands to unfold an auger arm and to open a container door and by monitoring weight measurements from the implement.

Abstract:
A portable field maintenance tool system for performing a plurality of different functional tasks on one or more equipment assets in a plant includes a handheld base and a plurality of functional modules for attachment to the handheld base. Each functional module, when operatively attached to the handheld base, interacts with computer circuits on the handheld base to perform a pre-defined one or more of the functional tasks. A portable handheld field maintenance tool for performing one or more pre-selected ones of the functional tasks on an equipment asset in a plant is formed by operatively mounting any one of the functional modules to the handheld base.

Abstract:
When a portable terminal with an RFID tag reaches a predetermined region where an RFID reader is disposed, the present invention inquires whether or not a service provided in the corresponding region is used of a user and provides the corresponding service depending on the response without opening user information of the portable terminal to the outside. According to the present invention, a local server provides a predetermined service to the corresponding portable terminal through a mobile communication server in which a user's portable terminal is registered, such that the portable terminal can receive a predetermined local service by using an RFID without opening user information.
Abstract:
An OBD II-compliant diagnostic PC tablet and method are provided. The tablet enables the simultaneous display of diagnostic data from multiple systems. Further, the tablet enables retrieval of potential solutions in response to the diagnostic data. The tablet may be used to retrieve the diagnostic data from a given vehicle system. The tablet features a display screen, an input node, and a processor. The tablet may communicate with one or more remote databases obtaining diagnostic summaries therefrom. Thus, the computer receives the diagnostic data vehicle system, derives diagnostic information therefrom, and can use external databases to derive potential diagnostic solutions therefrom.
Abstract:
A system for part measurement and verification is disclosed. The system comprises a set of design criteria specifying a part and a fixture with gage blocks for positioning the part, where each of the gage blocks represents a known position. At least one probe is operable to measure the scalar values of the part and the gage blocks. A handheld information processor or computer is coupled to the probe for receiving the measurements and is operable to transform the measurements and compare those measurements to the design criteria to in order to verify the part. A method for part measurement and verification is disclosed. The method comprises eight steps. Step one calls for specifying the part with a set of design criteria. Step two requires storing the design criteria in a handheld information processor. Step three provides placing the part in a fixture with gage blocks at known locations. In step four, the method provides for configuring the handheld information processor to receive part measurements. The next step calls for measuring the part with a handheld probe to generate part measurements. Step six calls for receiving the generated part measurements in the handheld information processor. Step seven requires transforming the generated part measurements to a different reference frame. The last step calls for comparing the transformed part measurements to the design criteria in order to generate a part verification report.
