摘要: An isolator circuit (25) for a unit of a safety system (10) includes a power control line (14) connectable to a first loop of a safety system and a power connection (16) connectable to a second loop of the safety system. A switch (26) is connected to the power control line (14), and the switch has a closed configuration and an open configuration. A controller (28) controls the configuration of the switch (26). If a voltage across the circuit (10) from the power connection (16) to the power control line (14) falls below a predetermined level, the controller (28) opens the switch (26), thereby causing a disconnection to occur in the first loop.

摘要: A control panel is used to monitor events within a security system or other automation system. In the event an intruder enters a physical location, the intruder may attempt to damage the control panel to disrupt its operation. One or more sensors of the control panel may detect disruption in the operation of the control panel. Example sensors may detect an impact force, sudden acceleration, removal from a mounted location, or disruption of communication with an input/output element, such as a display device. When an event is detected at the control panel itself, the control panel can send a signal to a remote service provider, and the remote service provider can follow-up with the customer. The control panel and/or remote service provider may also determine when the control panel loses partial or complete power loss to identify the disruption as a potential crash-and-smash entry.

摘要: Reporting systems, such as fire alarm systems, alarm systems or the like, are usually used for communications equipment in large plants, wherein automatic or manual reports are produced at decentralized locations and are forwarded to a central control system. To this end, the reporting systems comprise a plurality of reporting units connected to one another and to the central control system by way of signal lines and/or power supply lines. In a distributed embodiment, the power supply and signal lines are combined in a two-wire line, wherein the change in current flow and voltage in the two-wire line is monitored and a report is produced in the central control system when changes occur. A monitoring device (6,10) is proposed for functionally monitoring a reporting system (1), wherein the reporting system comprises a plurality of reporting units (4) or signaling units, power supply lines (3) and a voltage source, wherein the reporting units (4) or signaling units are connected to the voltage source by way of the power supply lines (3) and wherein the reporting units (4) or signaling units are connected in parallel to one another and to the voltage source, wherein a test signal unit (6) is adapted for connecting a reference resistance R in the power supply lines (3) parallel to the reporting units (4) and/or for connecting a or the reference resistance as a termination of the power supply lines (3), and with an evaluation unit (10) for detecting and evaluating the system answer of the reporting system (1) to the connecting of the reference resistance R.

摘要: A notification appliance and an alarm system are provided. The notification appliance comprises an alarm indicator and a control module, which is configured to perform notification applications by turning on/off the alarm indicator. The control module receives at least one of command instructions and notification signals, and directs the operation of the alarm indicator based on the command instructions and notification signals. The power condition of the notification appliance within the alarm system may be determined by comparing the notification signal and a predefined operating range for the notification signal. A fault indicator indicates a relationship between the notification signal and the predefined operating range.

摘要: A digital verification control, which is incorporated with an alarm system, includes a first timer device for presetting a single zone verification time in the control panel and second timer device for presetting a multiple zone verification time in the control panel. The single zone verification time is a single detector time delay and arranged when one of the sensors detects at least two triggered signals in the respective detecting area within the single zone verification time, the local warning system is activated for producing a local warning signal. The multiple zone verification time, which is longer than the single zone verification time, is a multiple detector time delay and arranged when the two sensors detect two triggered signals in the detecting areas respectively within the multiple zone verification time, the local warning system is activated for producing the local warning signal.
