    摘要: Upon detection of a high carbon monoxide condition, an intelligent thermostat regulates operation of appliances that have sources of combustion which could be the source of or may exacerbate the high carbon monoxide condition. This hazardous condition is detected by a detector and communicated to the intelligent thermostat by wired or wireless communications. The intelligent thermostat then communicates with these appliances either via wired or wireless communications. The intelligent thermostat may also operate a ventilation system to flush the environment with fresh air to minimize or eliminate the hazardous condition. External and internal temperature sensors allow coordinated operation of the ventilating and heating systems to flush the environment with fresh air without causing a freezing condition to exist within the environment.

The programmable electronic controller is configured to provide an emergency actuation signal to a motor upon receiving an emergency close signal. The programmable electronic controller is configured to provide a test actuation signal to the motor upon receiving a test close signal. The valve control system further comprises a gas detection input configured to receive a gas detection signal. Receipt of the gas detection signal at least partially meeting a first criterion causes the emergency close signal to be supplied to the controller. The valve control system further comprises a user interface configured to provide the controller with the test close signal in response to a user input. The valve control system further comprises a low battery input configured to receive a low battery signal. Receipt of the low battery signal causes the emergency close signal to be supplied to the controller.

    摘要: A valve is provided for use on a control moment gyroscope (CMG) having a housing separating an internal environment from an external environment. The valve includes a valve housing, a valve element, and bellows. The valve housing is configured to couple to the CMG housing and includes an inner surface defining a cavity, an outer surface, and an opening extending therebetween. The valve element is disposed within the valve housing cavity and is movable between a closed position, in which fluid is prevented from flowing through the valve housing opening, and an open position, in which fluid may flow through the valve housing opening. The bellows is disposed within the valve housing and coupled to the valve element and has an internal chamber. The bellows selectively moves the valve element closed and open in response to a differential pressure between the bellows internal chamber and the valve housing cavity.

    摘要: A manifold valve assembly for use in a smoke/pollution detection system in which gas is drawn from a plurality of zones under surveillance and delivered to a smoke/pollution detector. The assembly has a manifold provided with a plurality of inlet ports communicating with the zones and an outlet communicating with the detector. A valve within the housing is reciprocable between a first position in which the outlet communicates with all of said inlet ports and a second position in which only one of said inlet ports communicates with the outlet. The valve is rotated incrementally in response to its reciprocation to enable each of the inlet ports to communicate with the outlet successively.

    摘要: A valve actuator provides preselected automatic spring-powered actuation of a rotary-actuated valve in response to fire, or other occurrence of a specific exigent type. The actuator is secured to a valve having a shaft extending from the valve body and rotatable through a predetermined rotational extent, e.g. 90.degree., for moving a valve element between open and shut portions. The actuator comprises a coiled or spiral torsion spring in an enclosure protectively covering the spring. One end of the spring is secured relative to the cover. A coupling is operatively connected to the other end of the spring and biased by spring force for being drivingly rotated for valve actuation. A camming arrangement holds the coupling against rotation by camming force against the spring force, a releasable link being operatively interconnected with the camming arrangement for maintaining the camming force. The link releases in response to the fire or other exigent occurrence exterior to the cover for releasably permitting rotation of the coupling. The actuator includes structure for securing the actuator to the valve body, with the coupling providing lost arcuate motion coupling to the shaft for causing rotation of the shaft through a desired angular extent for closing the valve, opening it, or causing it to fail in an "as was" position as desired. The lost arcuate motion coupling permits normal rotation of the shaft without the shaft being subjected to said spring force.
