    Abstract: Embodiments include systems and methods for heating water and cooling air simultaneously, as well as other simultaneous heating and cooling operations. An example variable refrigerant flow conditioning system includes an outdoor unit having a compressor, a condenser coil, and a fan, a water heater coupled to the outdoor unit, a first air conditioning unit coupled to the outdoor unit, and a controller. The controller may be configured to determine that a cooling mode is active during a first time interval, cause vapor refrigerant to be directed from the outdoor unit to the water heater and liquid refrigerant to be directed from the outdoor unit to the first air conditioning unit, determine that an air heating mode is active during a second time interval, and cause the vapor refrigerant to be directed from the outdoor unit to both the water heater and the first air conditioning unit.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a device (1) for filtering a fluid circulating in a plumbing and heating system, comprising a body (2) defining therewithin a filtration chamber (3) that is destined to have a fluid to be subjected to filtration pass through it. The body is provided with a first inlet/outlet opening (10), a second inlet/outlet opening (20) and a third inlet/outlet opening (30): each of which sets the filtration chamber (3) in communication with the outside of the device and can be associated with a line of the system to receive therefrom, or send thereto a fluid entering or exiting said body of the device. The device operates a passage of fluid through the filtration chamber (3), in a selective manner according to a plurality of operative configurations, from an opening between said first (10), second (20) and third inlet/outlet opening (30) to a further opening between said first, second and third inlet/outlet opening. The device further comprises filtering members (40) housed inside the filtration chamber and interposed between the inlet/outlet openings to perform filtering of the fluid passing through the filtration chamber; the filtering members comprise a mechanical filter (41) arranged in the filtration chamber and structured so as to divide the filtration chamber into a first sub-chamber (A), a second sub-chamber (B) and a third sub-chamber (C), in which the first sub-chamber is in fluid communication, without passing through the mechanical filter, with the first inlet/outlet opening, the second sub-chamber is in fluid communication, without passing through the mechanical filter, with the second inlet/outlet opening, and the third sub-chamber is in fluid communication, without passing through the mechanical filter, with the third inlet/outlet opening.

    Abstract: A modular hydronic system core system and method includes a hydronic fluid flow conduit with closely spaced tees and distribution supply and return portions on a substrate. A supply manifold is coupled to branch feeders that support a circulator pump or zone valve. An ECM circulator along the conduit includes a Bluetooth transmitter to capture and transmit fluid flow rate and pressure. A return manifold includes branch returns with purge/shutoff valves. The branch feeders and returns are connectable to a distribution system having heating elements. Air and dirt separators, and an iron remover remove air, dirt and iron from the fluid. An expansion tank bracket supports a pressure gauge and expansion tank. A zone relay is coupled to the ECM circulator and zone valves on the branch feeders, and includes thermostat terminals. The zone relay captures inputs from the thermostats to control operation of the ECM circulator and zone valves.

    Abstract: A manifold for the distribution of a fluid in a plumbing and heating system has a tubular shape and defines in its interior a distribution conduit for the fluid. The manifold extends between a first inlet/outlet end and a second inlet/outlet end, both of which are designed to put the distribution conduit in communication with the exterior of the manifold to receive incoming fluid or to send fluid exiting the manifold. The manifold comprises a plurality of branches arranged in series along a longitudinal extension and interposed between the first and second inlet/outlet ends, wherein each branch allows a quantity of fluid to enter into or exit from the distribution conduit. Each branch is provided with an access or exit opening having a respective axis, and the branches are positioned in the manifold in such a way that: the distance between the first inlet/outlet end and the axis of the first branch is equal to an initial stretch, the centre-to-centre distance between the axis of each branch and the axes of the adjacent branches is equal to a centre-to-centre distance measurement between the branches, and the distance between the axis of the last branch and the second inlet/outlet end is equal to a final stretch. The length of the final stretch is equal to the sum of the length of the initial stretch and half of the centre-to-centre distance measurement.
