    摘要: A method and apparatus for spin forming a portion of a workpiece where the formed portion has a formed axis that is non-coaxial with the non-processed axis of the workpiece includes at least two rollers rotatable about a spin axis. Each one of the rollers is axially and radially offset from the others. An axial drive mechanism reciprocates the rollers or workpiece to causes the first roller and then the second roller to sequentially engage the workpiece. A pivoting mechanism rotates the rollers or workpiece about a pivot point from a first angular position to a second angular position during a forming operation to create a formed portion that is oblique to the non-processed portion or is substantially curved. A higher reduction ratio is achieved which enables improved efficiency. The present invention reduces floor space requirements as the forming operation may be completed on a single machine.

    摘要: Flanged structural products are rolled directly from rectangular slabs using only a universal mill having web rolls of fixed width corresponding to a selected finished web depth of the finished product. As the slab thickness is reduced between web rolls, flange rolls simultaneously apply pressure to the longitudinal edge surfaces of the slab, moving material toward the slab's center. The edge surfaces of the slab become upset in each pass so that the slab thickness at the edges exceeds the original slab thickness. As rolling proceeds, the web rolls are brought closer together as are the flange rolls. At every set point of these rolls, the cross section of the now deformed slab maintains a fixed ratio of areas between the web and the flanges, the same area ratio as in the finished product. The web and flange rolls are moved in precalculated increments until the slab takes on a finished wide flange shape, ready for use in the construction industry.

    摘要: A reversing two-high sectional rolling mill stand with multiple pass rolls whose bearing members are adjustably guided in windows of posts of the rolling mill stand. The rolling mill stand is arranged together with additional rolling mill stands of the same type adjacent to each other in series transversely to the rolling direction. The rolls can be connected to drive units or to drive transmission elements arranged between the rolls of adjacent rolling mill stands. Adjustable and fixable guide members for the rolled material are arranged on both sides of the rolling gaps for each of the rolls. The guide members are adapted for the section passes and are mounted jointly on support members which can be connected to the rolling stand. Connecting tops are hinged to the beams of the rolling mill stand and can be slid upwardly and pivoted outwardly for removing the roll. The bearing members of the rolls are placeable into a support frame which can be placed between the beams of the stands and can be moved out from between the beams. The support members of the guide members for the rolled material can be placed in the support frame.
