    摘要： Methods of, and apparatus for, two-sided thermal printing comprising direct and/or thermal transfer print means are provided. In one embodiment, a combined direct thermal and thermal transfer printer and related media are disclosed wherein direct thermal printing is provided for on a first media side, and thermal transfer printing is provided on a second media side. In other embodiments, various two-sided thermal transfer printers and media are disclosed wherein thermal transfer printing is provided for on first and second media sides through use of, inter alia, a one- and/or a two-sided thermal transfer ribbon.

    摘要： The present disclosure provides for identification systems and related methods of use. The disclosed identification systems can include a first ink and a second ink, each of which can comprise one or more time-dependent properties. The first and second inks can be disposed in a spatial pattern on a substrate. A time-dependent property of the first ink and a time-dependent property of the second ink can cause a characteristic of the spatial pattern to change over time. For example, the spatial pattern can change from a first state at a first time to a second state at a second time. Evaluation and/or interpretation of the state of the spatial pattern at a second time can provide information about a product. Additionally, one or more of the first and second inks can include known time- and temperature-dependent properties that can be used to derive temperature related information.

    摘要： A label printer prints a QR code on print areas (labels) sequentially arranged along a sheet of paper while maintaining the QR code in a state in which its data can be restored. The label printer determines, in the course of separating the printed label and suspending and resuming movement of the paper and while printing on each label of the paper, whether or not both of two finder patterns aligned along one side of the QR code in a following print area are at a position to be printed when a boundary portion between a leading label that has been printed and the following label reaches a cut position. A print operation correcting control controls printing when both of two finder patterns aligned along one side of the QR code are in position to be printed, but not printed at the same time.

    摘要： A clamshell printer having a base and a cover pivotally mounted to the base for movement between an open and a closed position, wherein the open position provides unhindered access to a media path and a print head in the printer. The printer may include a platen formed integrally therein or a platen rollingly supported in the printer. A media supply, such as a continuous sheet of linerless thermal media in the form of a roll may be quickly and efficiently drop-loaded into the printer, with no threading of the media required. Unhindered access to the print head is also provided. The printer may or may not include a drive mechanism for advancing the media through the printer. The print head is controlled by a microprocessor mounted to a circuit board in the printer. The circuit board may be spring-biased to urge the print head toward a printing position, which is located at an effective printing distance from the media and the platen. A window may be formed in the printer for observing the media supply.

    摘要： Ideographic typewriter and method in which a set of characters are printed on a keyboard panel in optically readable form and scanned to provide a bit map of a character which is to be printed. A printer is actuated in accordance with the bit map to form an image of the selected character on an output medium. Characters beyond those included in the set printed on the keyboard panel can be written on a calligraphy pad near the keyboard and scanned to provide bit maps for use in the printing of those characters. Information associated with the characters is prerecorded in tracks on a magnetic medium positioned beneath the keyboard panel and transduced in a manner which substantially eliminates crosstalk between the tracks.
