摘要: A centrifugal bowl parts feeder system for various relatively heavy parts feeding including automotive bearings, gears, castings and other small, rugged and heavy part—1 to 6 inches in diameter and ½ to 5 pounds apiece. The components for this heavy duty centrifugal parts feeder system embraces a feeder bowl system with a durable, high impact bowl and surface, a drive assembly and a shaft connected to an inner disk, a set of selection tooling to separate and organize the parts, and a heavy support structure contiguous and beneath the inner disk. The system also contains both an input and output parts conveyor. All the components permit the heavy duty centrifugal bowl parts feeder system to feed and orient the relatively heavy, rugged and small.

摘要: A rotary cup filler has a cup holder plate that permits cup holders to be retained in place by inserting them into open-ended receptacles from the side of the cup holder plate rather than being inserted into openings in the bottom cup holder plate from beneath. In one configuration, the cup holder plate has a central hub and plurality of arms that extend arcuately from the central hub to form the receptacles therebetween. The arms may engage opposed sides of a circumferential groove in the associated cup holder.

摘要: The invention addresses the problem of providing a medication cassette, which in addition to being capable of smooth automated dispensing despite being capable of storing large amounts of medication, allows accurate ascertainment of whether the medication has run out or is jammed. This medication cassette is provided with: a cylindrical body in which the medication is stored; a first rotating body capable of reciprocating movement inside the cylindrical body in the direction of the shaft center thereof; a second rotating body disposed on the outer circumference of the cylindrical body; a conveyed medication-detecting element for detecting medication that has been conveyed by the second rotating body; and a control element for moving the first rotating body upward when a medication detection signal is not output from the conveyed medication-detecting element.

摘要: A rotary puck conveying mechanism and method will qualify articles and place them within a puck or article handling device. This puck has a centrally disposed opening for receiving the articles. The mechanism includes a centrifugal feeder with a rotatable rim having a plurality of openings. Pucks are positioned beneath the openings in order to receive the articles. The pucks will be fed to the centrifugal feeder and aligned with the openings in the rim. The pucks will simultaneously move with these aligned openings beneath the rim. When the articles remaining on the rim are swept off of this rim, the pucks or at least a piece of the pucks can then be detached and conveyed away from the centrifugal feeder. The pucks are designed to maintain orientation of an article held therein even when the pucks are inverted. The pucks can also have a movable insert for exposing and orienting articles held therein.

摘要: The present invention provides apparatus for removing a measured quantity of liquid by a series of capillary tubes with the subsequent introduction of the liquid into respective work tubes for the performance of, for example, chemical reactions. The liquid is introduced into the capillary tubes by a piston action and then subsequently forced passed a restrictive orifice under the influence of a centrifugal action. Various forms of creating the piston action are provided.

摘要: A rotary puck conveying mechanism and method will qualify articles and place them within a puck. This puck has a centrally disposed opening for receiving the articles. The mechanism includes a centrifugal feeder for supply a plurality of articles to an outer peripheral rim of the feeder. The rim is rotatable and has a plurality of openings. Pucks are provided beneath the openings in order-to receive the articles. Different devices are provided for agitating articles on the rim to cause them to fall through the openings into the pucks. If the articles eventually do not fall through the openings, a jet or other suitable device is provided for removing the articles from the rim. The pucks will be fed to the centrifugal feeder and aligned with the openings in the rim. The pucks will simultaneously move with these aligned openings beneath the rim. When the articles remaining on the rim are swept off of this rim, the pucks can then be detached and conveyed away from the centrifugal feeder. Teeth with nest are provided on the centrifugal feeder for engaging the pucks, aligning the pucks with the openings in the rim and for conveying the pucks around at least a portion of the feeder. A height qualifier, wiper blades, air blast device and a wall can be provided around the rim of the centrifugal feeder to agitate the articles and move them through the openings in the rim into the pucks.

摘要: An automatic filling system which inserts objects into containers includes a feed hopper. A conveyor conveys a plurality of the objects into the feed hopper. The feed hopper has a discharge station. A collection station is located at the discharge station for disposing the containers in a position for receiving the objects fed from the discharge station. The feed hopper includes a flat inclined disc which receives the objects from the conveyor. The disc is rotated at a sufficiently high speed to cause the objects to move under centrifugal force toward the periphery of the disc. The feed hopper further includes a cylindrical member having an annular wall disposed around the disc and having an upper edge located generally at the same elevation as the upper end of the disc so that objects moving toward the periphery of the disc are moved to the upper edge of the cylindrical member and are conveyed on the upper edge away from the upper end of the disc. The discharge station is located at the upper edge of the cylindrical member for depositing the objects in the containers at the collection station. A counting device in the feed hopper counts the number of objects being deposited in each container for preventing excess objects from being deposited.
