摘要： A device for distributing granular materials in a recipient, particularly of complex shape intended to be arranged between a feed hopper and the recipient to be filled. The device includes a deflector, mobile in rotation around an axis, lining a passage linking the hopper to the recipient. The deflector is formed by at least one surface that may be inclined in relation to the axis of rotation approaching the axis in the direction of flow of the granules, or perpendicular to the axis. According to the speed of rotation, a certain quantity of granules is ejected by the deflector and another part passes directly in the passage.

摘要： A handling device packs wood chips with a density greater than that achieved using conventional free-fall techniques by null20%-35%. The device includes a drum rotating about a generally horizontal axis that includes a plurality of outwardly extending blades that act to fling the wood chips so as to land with a substantially uniform orientation. The blades may comprise a leading face with at least a first face section that extends in a first direction and at least a second face section extending at a forward angle relative to the first section. The first direction may be generally normal to the drum core's peripheral surface. The output from the drum, when an input stream of wood chips is fed to the drum, covers an arc of at least 90null, typically in the range of 90null-120null and generally downwardly facing, when viewed from the side along the axis.

摘要： A dispersing apparatus (10, 110, 210) uniformly disperses a stream of material pieces, such as wood chips, into a storage area (84) from an overhead feeding channel in order to achieve efficient and compact accumulation of the material pieces in the storage area (84). The dispersing apparatus (10, 110, 210) is detachably mounted to the feeding channel and has an impeller (18, 118) with a plurality of impeller blades (22a-22d; 122a-122d) for rotating through the stream of wood chips for transversely engaging the same. As a result, the wood chips are propelled outwardly from the feeding channel and uniformly toward the storage area (84). A first impeller (18) is shaped in the form of a cone configuration and is utilized to project material pieces outwardly and downwardly from the feeding channel. A second impeller (118) has a dish (128) with a concave deflection surface (132) for directing the material pieces outwardly and upwardly from the feeding channel. A directional deflection mechanism (212) having a deflector shield (214) may be implemented on the dispersing apparatus (10, 110, 210) in order to selectively direct the distribution of wood chips into the storage area (84).
