Abstract: A feeding unit configured to feed semi-finished sealed packs containing a pourable product to a folding unit adapted to fold the packs so as to obtain folded packages, the feeding unit comprises: a conveyor device having at least one carrying element configured to advance the packs from an inlet region of the feeding unit to an outlet region of the feeding unit; and a feed screw device at the outlet region and configured to receive the packs from the conveyor device, to advance the packs along a braking path and to feed the packs to the folding unit; the feed screw device is configured to decrease the velocity of the packs along the braking path.

Abstract: A modular, scalable prescription dispensing and verification system includes a four-tiered central conveyor, dispensing control system with stored patient orders for creating dispensing and routing itineraries, carriers transporting itineraries and dispensed medications, induction station, pairs of processing stations divided by the conveyor, including automated and manual dispensing, verification, cold chain, and ambient packaging. Crossover conveyors transport carriers between dispensing station pair members for dispensing multiple products per station pair. One conveyor tier returns empty carriers to induction, another transports carriers from each dispensing station to verification, then to packaging, another transports carriers from induction to dispensing, then to additional dispensing, another conveys carriers from induction to dispensing stations. Carrier stops halt carriers at stations for removal for processing, replacement, and transport to the next station, or deposit on another tier and transport to a different station. The system may include two conveyor modules, one for refrigerated or ambient unit-of-use items, another for ambient countables.

Abstract: An apparatus for filling pharmaceutical containers includes a filling device with a linear transport device that preferably includes circulating holding elements for the containers. The holding elements are movable along a transport direction from a coupling side to a decoupling side of the transport device. A processing station includes a filling station arranged at the transport device for filling the containers with a pharmaceutical substance. A coupling element transfers the containers to the transport device, and a decoupling element receives the containers from the transport device. A first feed unit provides containers of a first type to be filled, and a second feed unit feeds containers of a second type to be filled. An interface element is arrangeable on the feed side with respect to the transport device. Containers of the first type or the second type can be selectively fed directly or indirectly to the transport device.

Abstract: A plural-mode automatic medicament packaging system. In embodiments, the system may include an automatic dispensing machine including an automatic medicament dispensing unit and may further include pouch packaging and blister package packaging units. Medicaments output from the medicament dispensing unit may be packaged in a pouch package by the pouch packaging unit.
