The grinding aids of this invention are compounds free of sulfur and/or halogen and having a melting point in the range of 70.degree. F. to 1000.degree. F., a decomposition temperature at least 100.degree. F. above the melting temperature and a latent heat of melting greater than 10 cal/gm.

    摘要: A process is described for manufacturing resin bonded grinding articles such as grinding wheels and segments. The process comprises preparing a mixture of abrasive grain particles, particulate spacer material and a curable liquid resin, filling a mold with the mixture and curing the mixture to a solid article in the absence of external pressure. Grinding articles prepared in this manner and containing high concentrations of abrasive grain particles exhibit superior grinding wheel performance in rate of stock removal with no metallurgical damage to the steel being worked upon while maintaining precision of cut.
