Abstract:
A container, such as a tool box, has an interior storage compartment and a cover with a light opening therein. A light is mounted within the compartment and is selectively positionable to shine through the light opening or to illuminate the interior of the storage compartment. Preferably, the light is mounted on an articulated hinge allowing movement between a plurality of discrete positions and locks in place in a stored position. The light may be battery operated and may be removable if desired.
Abstract:
A coaster of the present invention is provided with a platform, which has two circular top slots bridged by a bottom slot, two contact sections implemented inside the top slots and the bottom slot, two button batteries positioned inside the two top slots respectively, an elastic plate on the upper surface of the batteries, and a LED is placed into the center of the elastic plate; the platform is mounted to a transparent top lid construct a coaster. When the weight of a cup or a heavy arcticle placed on the coaster thereby pressing the top lid downwardly towards against the elastic plate correspondingly followed by two pins protruded out of the LED configuring contacts with the two contact sections respectively enables the LED being illuminated with a lighting effect on the coaster.
Abstract:
An illuminated coaster includes a base with a body having upper and lower ends and a generally frusto-conical configuration enclosing a compartment. A resilient, insulative sleeve comprising foam rubber, polyurethane or some other suitable material is mounted on the body upper end and forms a container receiver adapted to selectively receive the lower end of a container. A lighting system is located generally in the compartment and includes a power source, such as a battery set. A light source is selectively connected to the battery set through a switching component and can comprise a bulb and socket or an LED, either of which can be mounted below the transparent lens for projecting light upwardly into a container in the container receiver. Modified embodiments of the illuminated coaster include horizontal/annular, helical and vertical ribs located on the inside of the sleeve for engaging a container received therein.

Abstract:
An illumination apparatus configured to generate multi-color light in a pleasing fashion and that may be operated in a variety of visual modes. The illumination apparatus may further include one or more speakers that may operate in a variety of audio modes. The illumination apparatus may further produce light that is suitable for treating light-deficiency disorders and/or for reducing eyestrain.
Abstract:
An illumination system with multiple lamps is provided for increasing the Lumens of projected images. In the system, light guiding means having at least two light tunnels and lamps are used for guiding light emitted from the lamps to a beam splitter so that the light beams from the different lamps are converged into one single light beam, thereby increasing the power of light.
Abstract:
An illuminated message or design is displayed on the surface of an inner container for viewing through an outer container. Light emitting diodes are placed under the outer container, and near its perimeter, allowing the light to be directly introduced into the peripheral wall cavity formed between the inner container and outer container. This allows optimal utilization of the light for lighting the inner container surface generally, and for directing a portion of the light to the inner container's bottom edge for entrapment within the inner container peripheral wall. The entrapped light is transmitted through the inner container peripheral wall until the light encounters a nonconformity that redirects the light outwardly through the outer container. Varying inner container shapes interact with the light and create several distinct light mantles.
Abstract:
A showerhead (802, 804) or faucet (12, 602, 702) includes a water outlet (16, 606, 706, 802) for emitting a water flow (22, 610, 710) and a handle (18, 20, 604, 704, 830) for controlling the water flow (22, 610, 770). At least one LED (42, 242, 342, 442, 542, 544, 546, 624, 658, 730, 810) is arranged on or in the showerhead (802, 804) or faucet (12, 602, 702) and viewable by an associated user thereof. A light-transmissive encapsulant (630, 660, 732) seals the at least one LED (42, 242, 342, 442, 542, 544, 546, 624, 658, 730, 810) and transmits light produced by the at least one LED (42, 242, 342, 442, 542, 544, 546, 624, 658, 730, 810) to the associated user. A controller (550) produces a controller output for controlling the LED light emission responsive to at least one of a water flow rate, a water flow temperature, an ambient light level, and a position of the handle (18, 20, 604, 704, 830). The at least one LED (42, 242, 342, 442, 542, 544, 546, 624, 658, 730, 810) is can be arranged on a printed circuit board (626, 656) and electrically powered via conductive traces thereon, in which case the light-transmissive encapsulant (630, 660, 732) seals the LED source and the conductive traces.

The invention consists of a light emitting unit attached to a DC power source housing unit via a flexible arm. The illumination device enables the operator of a photographic camera to easily read the displays and adjust the controls of said camera under low light conditions.
Abstract:
W makeup compact case is provided utilizing Light Emitting Diodes (LED) as an illumination source The LED's are inserted into the plastic housing of the case lid, next to the mirror in order to simulate actual sunlight. Traditional illuminating devices do not accurately reflect the hues of sunlight and as such do not accurately replicate how the makeup will look once the individual has entered a sunlight environment. The LED's are powered by Lithium low-voltage batteries, or other such replaceable power source, and will be activated by a push-button switch, or other such connect/disconnect device, inserted into the lower case housing
