Abstract: A system is provided for imaging an underwater environment. The system includes two or more arrays of transducer elements. Each array is operated at a fixed phase shift and varies in frequency so as to beamform multiple sonar return beams of a first range of angles and a second range of angles. The arrays can be oriented to create arcs of sonar coverage extending forward from a watercraft, from each side of the watercraft, and downward of the watercraft. Accordingly, multiple 2D live sonar images can be formed. One or more of the multiple sonar return beams can be selected and used to form sonar images that anglers are used to, without requiring separate transducer elements.

Abstract: A transducer system comprises a first frequency steered transducer array element and a second frequency steered transducer array element that is spaced apart from the first frequency steered transducer array element. The system additionally includes a processing element in communication with the first and second frequency steered transducer array elements. The processing element is configured to receive a first receive electronic signal from the first frequency steered sonar array element, receive a second receive electronic signal from the second frequency steered array sonar element, compare a difference in amplitude between the first receive electronic signal and the second receive electronic signal to determine a cross-track position of an underwater target, and control a display to present an indication of the cross-track position of the underwater target.

Abstract: Many different types of systems are utilized or tasks are performed in a marine environment. The present invention provides various configurations of unmanned vehicles, or drones, that can be operated and/or controlled for such systems or tasks. One or more unmanned vehicles can be integrated with a dedicated marine electronic device of a marine vessel for autonomous control and operation. Additionally or alternatively, the unmanned vehicle can be manually remote operated during use in the marine environment. Such unmanned vehicles can be utilized in many different marine environment systems or tasks, including, for example, navigation, sonar, radar, search and rescue, video streaming, alert functionality, among many others. However, as contemplated by the present invention, the marine environment provides many unique challenges that may be accounted for with operation and control of an unmanned vehicle.

Abstract: A fish finder transducer mount apparatus for independently controlling a directional transducer and trolling motor includes a clamp body. A motor clamp is coupled to the clamp body. The motor clamp is selectively engageable with the clamp body and configured to secure the apparatus to a propeller shaft of a trolling motor. A directional transducer shaft is rotatably coupled to the clamp body and a directional transducer shaft bottom end of the directional transducer shaft to receive a directional transducer of a fish finder. A gearing system is coupled to the directional transducer shaft to rotate the directional transducer shaft. A handle is coupled to the gearing system. The handle comprises an extension portion secured by a user to manipulate the orientation of the directional transducer shaft.

A fishing data management system is wirelessly connected to the fish finder device by an electronic communication connection. The communication may be directed to the system wirelessly through a cellular, Bluetooth, or satellite navigation connection. The fishing management system is configured to receive and store data collected by the fish finder, analyze the data, and provide feedback to a user. A method of using the system allows the user to access the stored and analyzed data remotely.

The conductive enclosure reduces an electromagnetic field within the shielded volume.
