Abstract:
An operator control apparatus, in particular a remote control apparatus is provided, comprising a splashproof housing and at least one operator control device which comprises an input assembly having a pushbutton head manually displaceable along a longitudinal axis, a rotary member rotatable about an axis of rotation and a coupling mechanism via which a linear movement of the pushbutton head is translatable into a rotary movement of the rotary member, wherein a signal transmitter is held to the rotary member in a rotationally fixed manner, which signal transmitter interacts with a sensor element arranged in the housing. In order to improve the operator control apparatus in such a manner that the input assembly may be mounted with ease and, if required, replaced with ease, the input assembly is insertable in a mounting direction into an exterior recess of the housing and is removable from the recess when required.
Abstract:
An actuator device (2) for actuating at least one foot pedal (P) of a motor vehicle has at least one actuating element (8), whereby, for applying force to the foot pedal (P), said actuating element is shifted by means of a positioning mechanism (10) between an application position and a released position. It is provided that the positioning mechanism (10) is drivable with a positioning force (SF), by means of inertial means (such as an inertial mass).

Abstract:
A throttle control modification assembly includes an attachment assembly configured to removably attach the modification assembly to an existing throttle pedal of a vehicle. A foot plank is coupled to the attachment assembly, the foot plank being configured to extend from the throttle pedal of the vehicle toward the floor of the vehicle.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a control system that may include a tab pivotally connected to a structure, a coupling member pivotally connected to the structure, and a device operatively connected to the tab via the coupling member, wherein the device is configured to control an external system. Disclosed also is a vehicle that may include a first device and a control system. The control system may include a tab pivotally connected to a structure, a coupling member pivotally connected to the structure, a frangible member connecting the tab and the coupling member to the structure, and a second device operatively connected to the tab via the coupling member, wherein the second device is configured to control the first device.
Abstract:
A spring force of a thrust spring can be determined independently of a spring force of a locking spring, reducing an operating load of an unlocking operation. A locking device includes a locking mechanism provided on one of two members to be engaged with each other, and a striker provided on the other of the two members. The locking mechanism includes a base plate, a hook, a pawl, a cam, a locking spring, a thrust spring and a canceling plate. The base plate has a recess that is capable of receiving the striker. The hook, when rotated relative to the base plate, is capable of forming a locked condition in which the striker is held between the hook and the recess of the base plate or an unlocked condition in which the hook is spaced away from the striker. The pawl is capable of rotating relative to the base plate and maintaining the hook in the locked condition. The cam is capable of further pressing the hook in the locked condition toward a locking direction. The locking spring is capable of biasing the hook and the pawl such that the hook and the pawl are stabilized in the locked condition or the unlocked condition. The thrust spring is capable of biasing the cam in a direction to press the hook. The canceling plate is rotatably supported via a shaft of the hook and is coaxially rotatable with the hook. The canceling plate has a movable range in which the canceling plate can rotate relative to the hook and has a contacting portion that is capable of contacting the striker within the movable range when the hook is in the locked condition.
Abstract:
A differential adjuster that utilizes a tool interface for affecting either a coarse adjustment or a fine adjustment is presented. In accordance with some embodiments of the present invention, a differential adjuster includes an intermediate actuator sleeve with a tool interface to accommodate a tool for performing fine adjustments. In some embodiments, a differential adjuster includes a main body with a tool interface to accept a tool for performing coarse adjustments. By utilizing a tool interface, rather than a knob, embodiments of the differential adjuster according to the present invention can be formed with small form factors.
Abstract:
Hand-operated control devices for a motor vehicle comprising a shaft having a first upper end and a second lower end, the shaft having a length adapted to extend from a pedal of a vehicle to a location within the reach of a driver; coupling means for coupling the second lower end of the shaft to a pedal of a vehicle such that the shaft is rotatable and movable with respect to the second end, the coupling means adapted so that it may be removed from the pedal without using any tools; and a handle coupled to the first upper end of the shaft, enabling a driver to apply downward pressure from the handle through the shaft and coupling means in order to depress a pedal. Also included is a second device couplable to a second pedal of a motor vehicle for remote operation of the second pedal.
Abstract:
A valve positioning handle for a plastic valve includes a fluid isolation member rotatably disposed in a valve body and rotatable therewithin by means of different torque applying tools having legs selectively engageable with discretely oriented working surfaces.
Abstract:
A driver assistance system enables brake and accelerator operation by an operation bar in a manner close to a sense of a driver of a vehicle, regardless of the degree of operation of the operation bar. Embodiments include an operation bar extending downward toward a vehicle floor panel from a manual operation area where a seated driver manually operates the operation bar, and whose lower portion is supported in a slidingly displaceable manner along an axial direction in a front-down, rear-up tilted state. The operation bar includes a brake actuation section, below the manual operation area, that actuates a brake mechanism by sliding displacement of the operation bar in a front-down direction; and an accelerator actuation section that actuates an acceleration mechanism by sliding displacement of the operation bar in a rear-up direction that is a reverse direction on the same axis from the sliding displacement in the front-down direction.
