摘要: The present disclosure relates to an insulated conductor for a telecommunications cable. The insulated conductor includes a first surface surrounding a core region of the notched conductor. The first surface defines a plurality of grooves extending radially inward towards the second longitudinal axis of the insulated conductor. Each of the plurality of grooves comprises of a first groove area section and a second groove area section. The first groove area section and the second groove area section are in continuous contact. The insulated conductor includes an insulation layer circumferentially surrounding the conductor. The insulated conductor has a first diameter in a range of about 0.5 millimeters to 0.65 millimeters. The telecommunications cable includes, plurality of twisted pairs of insulated conductors, a separator and a cable jacket.

摘要: A cable may include a plurality of twisted pairs of individually insulated conductors and a separator positioned between the twisted pairs. The separator may be formed from a tape that is scored at a plurality of respective spaced locations along a longitudinal direction. As a result of scoring the second portion, a plurality of longitudinally spaced sections extending from the first portion may be defined. The tape may then be twisted along the longitudinal direction such that a first of the plurality of sections extends in a first direction between a first set of adjacent twisted pairs and a second of the plurality of sections extends in a second direction different than the first direction and between a second set of adjacent twisted pairs. A jacket may be formed around the twisted pairs and the separator.

摘要: The present invention includes a high performance communications cable that provides for wireless fidelity applications and includes core support-separators having profiles which define a clearance to maintain spacing and/or channel between the transmission media and power conductors. The core may be formed of a conductive or insulative material that have, principally, polymer blends that include olefin and/or fluoropolymer and/or chlorofluoropolymer based resins. The polymer blends can also be utilized for fabricating shielding materials. The core support-separators have both a central region as well as a plurality of shaped sections that extend outward from the central region that are either solid or partially solid, foamed or foamed with a solid skin surface.

摘要: Provided is a LAN cable that includes a sheath; an electrical wire accommodated in the sheath and including a conductor and an insulating body covering the conductor; and an intermediate layer having a mass reduction rate at 500° C. of less than or equal to 10% by mass and a mass reduction rate at 600° C. of less than or equal to 50% by mass, and located between the sheath and the electrical wire. The insulating body includes polyethylene having a dielectric constant of smaller than or equal to 2.5. The sheath includes a polyolefin-based polymer and a flame retardant, and a content of the flame retardant in the sheath is greater than or equal to 150 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the polyolefin-based polymer.

A longitudinally extending separator may be positioned between the plurality of twisted pairs. The separator may include at least one portion that extends beyond and is wrapped at least partially around an outer periphery of the plurality of twisted pairs. The at least one extending portion may have a variable thickness or one or more ribs may be formed on a surface of the extending portion. Additionally, a jacket may be formed around the plurality of twisted pairs and the separator.

摘要: A shielded electrical cable includes one or more conductor sets extending along a length of the cable and being spaced apart from each other along a width of the cable. Each conductor set has one or more conductors having a size no greater than 24 AWG and each conductor set has an insertion loss of less than about −20 dB/meter over a frequency range of 0 to 20 GHz. First and second shielding films are disposed on opposite sides of the cable, the first and second films including cover portions and pinched portions arranged such that, in transverse cross section, the cover portions of the first and second films in combination substantially surround each conductor set, and the pinched portions of the first and second films in combination form pinched portions of the cable on each side of each conductor.
