摘要: An audience measurement service may monitor broadcasts in a region, ingesting closed captioning data, metadata, displayed text or logos, performing facial recognition on people, and/or generating audio/video fingerprints of broadcast content to create a database of content and associated keywords, along with times at which the content was broadcast. The audience measurement service may receive user search queries from a search provider and detect “spiking” queries. The audience measurement service may determine whether the spiking queries are related, contextually and temporally, to an item of content identified in the database, and infer that users generating the queries likely viewed the item of content. In some implementations, the audience measurement service may also infer that the users likely viewed other items of content (e.g. advertisements) displayed during the prior or subsequent few minutes on the same broadcast channel as the query-triggering item.

摘要: There is provided a method for searching a plurality of information sources using a multimedia element, the method may include receiving at least one multimedia element; generating, by a signature generator, for the at least one multimedia element at least one signature that is unidirectional, and yields compression; generating at least one textual search query using the at least one signature; wherein the generating of the textual search query comprises: (a) searching for at least one matching stored signature that matches one or more of the at least one signature; and (b) using a mapping between stored signatures and textual search queries, selecting at least one textual search query mapped to at least one matching stored signature; searching the plurality of information sources using the at least one textual search query; and causing a display of search results retrieved from the plurality of information sources.

Disclosed example apparatus include a signature comparator to, when media presentation data representative of media output by a media device does not correspond to reference data associated with first reference media corresponding to a first station: identify a plurality of first signatures in a database that matches a plurality of second signatures included in the media presentation data, the plurality of first signatures including at least one of first audio signatures or first video signatures, the plurality of second signatures including at least one of second audio signatures or second video signatures generated from the media output by the media device; and determine second reference media corresponding to the plurality of first signatures; and memory to store the media presentation data.

摘要: A computer-implemented method of using video program viewer interaction data that has been loaded to a media measurement database as input to a measurement engine which then calculates Linear, DVR, and VOD asset viewing activity at three levels: (a) Video Program, (b) Video Program Airing, (c) Video Program Airing Segment, where each level provides summary metrics for groupings of Demographic, Geographic, and/or Device Characteristic, and also second-by-second viewing metrics, including counting advertising impressions, within the Demographic, Geographic, Device groupings. System also accounts for reduced value of ad viewing when viewer is using trick plays or when viewer delays viewing recorded content. Together these metrics provide detailed information on customer viewing behavior which can be used to drive business decisions for service providers, advertisers and content producers. Additionally, a viewing histogram analysis is produced.

For each track of a plurality of tracks, the server system determines a year associated with the track. The server system selects content for the user based at least in part on an affinity of members of the demographic group, as compared to members of other demographic groups, of music from the year associated with the track. The server system provides the selected content to a client device associated with the user.

摘要: A system and method for generating personalized multimedia content element clusters. The method includes determining, based on at least one interest, at least one personalized concept, wherein each personalized concept represents one of the at least one user interest; obtaining at least one multimedia content element related to a user; generating at least one signature for the at least one multimedia content element, each generated signature representing at least a portion of the at least one multimedia content element; determining, based on the generated at least one signature, at least one multimedia content element cluster, wherein each cluster includes a plurality of multimedia content elements sharing a common concept of the at least one personalized concept; and creating at least one personalized multimedia content element cluster by adding, to each determined cluster, at least one of the at least one multimedia content element sharing the common concept of the cluster.

摘要: Disclosed examples determine a duplicated audience size representative of panelists exposed to television media and digital media; determine a panel duplication reach based on the duplicated audience size and a panelist population; determine a did-not-view reach based on a television audience size, a digital audience size, the duplicated audience size, and the panelist population; obtain an overlap multiplier as a ratio of (1) a product of the panel duplication reach and the did-not-view reach and (2) a product of a television panel reach and a digital panel reach; determine a duplication factor for a media item based on a television audience reach, a digital audience reach, and the overlap multiplier; and determine a total audience for the media item based on the television audience reach, the digital audience reach, and the duplication factor.
