    摘要: A multiple pill cutting device has a pivoting housing structure holding a blade holding assembly. The pivoting housing structure has a top housing pivotably connected at one end to a bottom housing. The bottom housing has a plurality of pill holding openings arranged in one or more rows. The one or more rows of pill holding openings have a slotted channel extending along a length of the bottom housing through and bisecting each pill holding opening. The blade holding assembly has one or more extending cutting blades. One blade is configured to align with each slotted channel when the top housing pivots closing onto the bottom housing, this moves the one or more cutting blades of the blade holding assembly to enter the slotted channels and cut pills held in the pill holding openings.

The cutting apparatus includes an actuator that is connected to the blade via a primary shaft. The actuator is also connected to the table via both a secondary shaft and a cam assembly. Rotation of the actuator causes the primary shaft to continuously reciprocate the blade in upward and downward directions. Rotation of the actuator also causes intermittent movement of the table that includes both translation of the table to index the belt relative to the blade, and pivoting of the table to change an angle of the belt relative to the blade.

The feed spool is configured to carry a tape roll of tackifier tape that includes a tackifier material and a backing material, and the uptake spool is configured to carry a backing material roll of the backing material. The tape layup system further includes a torque transmission system configured to convey a torque from the feed spool to the uptake spool. The tape layup system is configured such that conveying a torque from the feed spool to the uptake spool operates to draw the backing material onto the backing material roll. A method of operating a tape layup system includes generating tension in a tackifier tape to rotate a feed spool and consequently rotating an uptake spool to draw a backing material onto a backing material roll.

    摘要: An installation (I) for cutting food products in the form of elongated loaves (P). The installation includes at least one assembly (E) with at least one chute or magazine for receiving a loaf (P). The chute has the form of an elongated compartment configured to receive the loaf (P) via its open upper end, with the possibility of sliding so as to direct it towards and beyond its open lower end. A generally horizontal tray is arranged at a distance from the lower end of the chute with a cutting blade arranged near the tray. A displacement mechanism alternatively guides the lower end so that said blade interacts the loaf and executes its cutting. Also included is a storage unit (S) and a mechanised and/or automated unit for picking-off at least one loaf (P) from the storage unit (S) and for transferring and loading it in the chute.
