摘要: A four chamber hydraulic steering damper where a two sided rotary vane moves working fluid from one side of each vane to the adjacent side of the same vane when rotated in synchronism with the steering mechanism. The working fluid is directed through narrow passageways that may be metered and/or valved. Each chamber may have a unique or similar pressure relief area creating varying dampening through the steering rotation. The damper may be affixed to the steering shaft directly or by linkage to the steering shaft or another moving component of the steering assembly.

A medium which is intended to be supplied to the toroidal space to effect a braking action. A second pipe circuit for transferring the medium from a storage space to the toroidal space. The second pipe circuit transfers the medium to the toroidal space via a second inlet which is arranged separately relative to a corresponding first inlet to the first pipe circuit.

The rotor blade wheel and the stator blade wheel together form a toroidal working chamber in which torque is transmitted from the rotor blade wheel to the stator blade wheel by means of a working medium. The blades have a profile with an inner diameter (DI) and an outer diameter (DA). The mean number of the blades (Zm), which results from half of the sum of the number of rotor blades (ZR) and the number of stator blades (ZS) multiplied by the profile shift factor (f v) is fixed, depending on the working medium.

摘要: A damper includes a frame, a main gear mounted to the frame for rotation about an axis of rotation, and a spring operably connecting the main gear and the frame such that rotation of the main gear tensions the spring. The main gear has a circumferential recess formed therein that defines a circumferential channel or reel. An elongated flexible member is wrapped around the main gear, disposed within the circumferential channel. A gear damper is mounted to the frame and is operably engaged with the main gear to dampen rotational movement of the main gear. The damper can be configured for one-way and two-way damping.

The chamber is arranged so that the damping medium is displaced through a restriction (14a) with a swing motion of at least one pivot axle (6) in the prosthesis. The damping medium is a visco-elastic compound, having an ability to exert a bigger resistance at rapid motion processes as compared to slower processes.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a retarder control system for protection against transmission overspeed. The system operates in conjunction with a rotatable input member and an output member that is rotatable relative to the input member. A torque transfer device is operatively connected between the relatively rotatable input and output members. Specifically, a piston assembly is operated by an input control chamber that selectively receives pressurized hydraulic fluid which effects translation of the piston assembly to actuate the torque transfer device and thereby effect a driving connection between the relatively rotatable input and output members. The present system is adapted to control a hydrodynamic retarder assembly having a work cavity to receive hydraulic fluid. The retarder input valve assembly is supported from one of the relatively rotatable members selectively to deliver pressurized hydraulic fluid from the input control chamber to the retarder cavity. In order to achieve overspeed protection the retarder input valve opens in response to a predetermined angular velocity of the relatively rotatable member on which the retarder input valve assembly is supported. In a variation of the retarder control system explained above, a dump valve assembly is provided which opens selectively to release pressurized hydraulic fluid from the work cavity of said retarder in response to the pressure of the hydraulic fluid within said retarder work cavity.
