摘要: A portable encoded information reading (EIR) terminal for incorporation in a data collection system can comprise a terminal module communicatively coupled to a wireless interface module via a wired interface. The terminal module can include a central processing unit (CPU), a memory, and an encoded information reading (EIR) device. The wireless interface module can include a microcontroller, a memory, and at least one wireless communication interface. The wireless interface module can establish one or more wireless links with one or more peer EIR terminals, to join a wireless network which is collectively formed by the peer EIR terminals. The wireless interface module can receive or transmit beacons containing at least an identifier of a path selection protocol which is used for unicast, multicast and broadcast frame transmission within the wireless network.

摘要: A system for tracking a product from origin to destination is disclosed. The system includes a probe that comprises two plates, a power source and a processor. The power source is controlled by the processor to produce an oscillating output at the plates. Using the oscillating voltage, the probe interrogates a device through capacitive coupling. The device includes a control unit, a memory unit, and first and second materials physically associated with the device for communication using capacitive coupling. Information associated with the device is transferred from the device to the probe through capacitive coupling between the first and second materials and the first and second plates, respectively.

摘要: A method of confirming the identity of a person who issued a token to signify eligibility for a privilege. Possession token is confirmed to be by the same person by using sensors in the token which track the movements of the person. A machine learning system is trained to evaluate the sensor data detecting transfer of possession of the token. The state of continuous possession since the token was issued or set to an enabled state is confirmed and the privilege is granted. The method of identity confirmation is used in various contexts such as for to control entry to a location, use of a facility or service. It is also useful to determine continuous possession of a weapon to prevent misuse after the weapon is stolen, dropped or lost. Servers, beacons and outside sources of data or inputs to be measured by the sensor can also be used.

摘要: Various apparatuses for use in a wireless network are disclosed. A first apparatus comprises two antennae oriented orthogonally, a biosensor capable of reading a user's fingerprint, and a housing comprising a groove for guiding a user's finger, the groove physically separating the antennae, effectively creating a radome for each antenna. A second apparatus comprises a printed circuit board (PCB) a port, a shell enclosing the PCB, and at least one horseshoe gasket, the shell and gasket creating a waterproof seal isolating the port and the external environment from the rest of the PCB. A third apparatus comprising a bracket for attaching a housing to a building material, an aiming annulus for aiming the housing and the housing. Wherein two or more of the bracket, aiming annulus and housing may be joined in order to mount and aim the housing using one or more structures on the components.

摘要: Example embodiments relate to a network-based vulnerability detection system configured to access a database of customer transaction data corresponding to a set of card readers that includes transaction codes, receive an identification of a set of compromised card readers among the set of card readers, identify common transaction codes within the transaction data of the set of compromised card readers, and correlate the common transaction codes to one or more instances of fraud associated with the compromised set of card readers. In some example embodiments, the vulnerability detection system may be applied to monitor one or more card readers, receive transaction data corresponding to transaction conducted through the card readers, identify the common transaction codes correlated to the instances of fraud, and cause display of a notification that includes an indication of the instance of fraud at a client device.

One embodiment includes an RFID receiver system configured to detect information from RFID tags within a receive coverage area, and a plurality of exciters defining a plurality of interrogation spaces within the receive coverage area of the receiver system. The receiver system is configured to transmit a control signal that identifies one of the exciters and includes information indicative of an RFID tag interrogation signal, the exciters are configured to receive the control signal, and the exciter identified in the control signal is configured to illuminate an interrogation space with the RFID tag interrogation signal.

摘要: These and other objects of the present invention are achieved in a card reader with a read head positioned in a housing. The read head is configured to be coupled to a mobile device and has a slot for swiping a magnetic stripe of a card. The read head reads data on the magnetic stripe and produces a raw magnetic signal indicative of data stored on the magnetic stripe. A power supply is coupled to wake-up electronics and a microcontroller. An output jack is adapted to be inserted in a port of the mobile device and deliver an output jack signal to the mobile device.
