摘要: An authentication mark system and method are provided for authentication of an object having indicia associated therewith. The authentication mark system includes an inkjet printer configured to propel microscopic ink drops onto the object to form a pattern of ink on the object. A microscope camera has a lens directable at the pattern of ink on the object. The microscope camera records an enlarged image of the pattern of ink on the object. A processor is operatively connected to the microscope camera and is configured to transmit the enlarged image of the pattern of ink and the indicia associated with the object to a database for secure storage.

摘要: Tamper-proofing and secure identity validation techniques in a transaction processing system and secure electronic payment techniques are disclosed. A tamper-proof transaction processing device is provided and comprises at least two different strength adhesives to secure parts of the device together and a housing comprising at least a first and second protective layer. An electronic component comprising a secure element chip storing unique information relating to the chip is located between the first and second protective layer in the housing. In another aspect, a transaction processing system includes a payment instrument that is configured to approve only negative value and/or zero value transaction requests. Another aspect provides an identity card checking system and method where the identity card is brought into proximity of a data processing device and identity information is displayed on the screen of the data processing device for the period of time while the card is in proximity.

摘要: A system and method for hidden security feature detection, analysis and authentication using a smart device is disclosed. The smart device can detect and analyze hidden security features using the camera capability of the smart device to capture a digital image, and then analyze and authenticate that image using a security service including a database of security feature data, processing rules, and other information. The security service can support a variety of smart devices and security features. The smart device includes a security-specific autofocus function that allows the smart device to be positioned within a range of distances and angles from a target document that includes hidden/covert security feature(s). The smart device can display an enhanced image showing the hidden security feature(s) and/or report if the security feature is valid or invalid, along with related information, via beeps, vibration, display, text messaging, or other reporting capabilities.

摘要: A wearable RFID device is provided for use in an event-based interrogation zone. The zone contains terminals with RFID readers. The device has an element worn by a user and an attached or embedded RFID tag. The tag has stored data representing a UniqueID of the tag, and a stored funds balance. The tag is programmed to activate an otherwise inactive one of said terminals upon presentation of the tag to the RFID reader of said terminal in a first tap, and communicate its UniqueID to the terminal for validation. Upon validation and following a second tap of the tag at the RFID reader, the tag's stored funds balance can be changed by the amount of a transaction run through said terminal. A temporary installation of a system of RFID-based terminals and user-worn RFID devices is also provided for use within an event interrogation zone.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for decoding secure tags using an authentication server and secure tag reader. The system can include at least one processor and at least one non-transitory memory. The memory can contain instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the secure tag reader to perform operations. The operations can include detecting a potential secure tag in an image and generating a normalized secure tag image using the image and a stylesheet. The operations can further include providing an identification request to an authentication server, the identification request including the normalized secure tag image. The operations can additionally include receiving rules for decoding tag data encoded into the secure tag as tag feature options and decoding the tag data using the received rules.

摘要: A RFID tag (501), reader (502) and protocol allow a protected read operation in a two-step tag authentication with cipher-block cryptography. A challenge-response mechanism using a shared secret symmetric key (638) for tag authentication includes a challenge and information to read data from a tag's memory (637). Tag's response to the challenge-response mechanism includes the response to the reader's challenge and data from the tag's memory. A method embeds a protected write operation in a four-step reader authentication with cipher-block cryptography. The protocol allows a challenge-response mechanism using the shared secret symmetric key for reader authentication including a challenge and information to write data to the tag's memory. Reader's response to the challenge-response mechanism includes a response to the tag's challenge and data for writing to the tag's memory. Authenticated read and write data may be in plaintext, message authentication code (MAC)-protected, encrypted, or both encrypted and MAC protected.
