    摘要: A stringed musical instrument includes a mechanism for adjusting and setting the angular position of the neck with respect to the instrument body. The mechanism includes a metal projection secured in a metal insert arranged inside the neck coupling portion, and additionally a metal piece that defines a groove for receiving the metal projection. The metal piece is partially inserted into the instrument body coupling portion. The projection and the groove fit together and are aligned with one another without there being any contact between them. The, groove has sufficient clearance for allowing variation of the angular position of the neck with respect to the instrument body by displacement of the projection along the groove.

    摘要: A locking string retainer minimizes undesired movement of instrument strings across the nut of a stringed instrument. When attached to the instrument headstock just behind the nut, the string retainer sets the angle at which the strings contact the nut. The string retainer includes a locking mechanism that is operated by a lever. When the lever is in the unlocked position, the instrument can be tuned and played normally. When the lever is in the locked position, the mechanism allows near zero travel of the strings across the nut, even during aggressive use of a vibrato bar. When the instrument inevitably does go out of tune, the user can easily unlock the string retainer, retune the instrument, and re-lock the retainer.

    摘要: Embodiment apparatus and associated methods relate to adapting an actuator to adjust the tension of a musical instrument string, configuring a sensor to detect vibration propagated through the musical instrument body, configuring a noise removal filter to remove an undesired signal from vibration propagated through the musical instrument body, and automatically tuning the musical instrument based on adjusting the musical instrument string tension by the actuator while removing the undesired signal, until the fundamental frequency propagated through the instrument body by the vibration of the musical instrument string is within a predetermined tolerance of a reference frequency. In an illustrative example, the undesired signal may be actuator vibration. In some embodiments, actuator vibration spectral content may vary as a function of actuator torque, and, the noise removal filter may be adapted in real time. Various examples may advantageously provide faster and more accurate stringed musical instrument tuning.

The tremolo device has a body with an upper surface, a neck portion, and a plurality of strings anchored at a first end of the neck and extending over at least a portion and secured to the tremolo device at the other end of the neck portion and the body and possesses an inertia block mechanism with substantially solid construction disposed to receive and securely retain a plurality of raw instrument strings without removal of a ball end from each string. The inertia block has an upper portion, a lower portion, and a plurality of internal, longitudinally displaced, cylindrically shaped, string retaining chambers designed to pass through an entirety of the block mechanism.     摘要: A practical solution to the problem of tension equalization in wire tensioned around drums and objects, wire end securing devices, and the protracted wire replacement and tensioning time. In some embodiments, jaws in cooperating chambers replace securing knots, which eliminates a sources of tension equalization, the protracted time in tying the knot, and thus permits rapid wire installation and automatic wire clamping. Some embodiments use linear translation via pistons to replace take-up drums, thereby eliminating another source of tension equalization. Other embodiments increase tension equalization by reducing the length of wire wrapped around drums or bridge tie-blocks. Yet other embodiments utilize drums having surfaces which reduce or increase tension equalization. Wire quick release mechanisms, rapid manual course tensioning, and compatibility with automated tensioning tools, address the protracted time in wire replacement and tensioning.

    摘要: The invention relates to an attachment arrangement for the strings of a stringed instrument, especially a guitar. To the body of the stringed instrument is attached a bridge body, first restraining means for restraining the strings from the first end area, second restraining means, which are arranged in conjunction with the bridge body for restraining the strings from the second end area. Lever means are arranged in conjunction with the bridge body in order to move the second restraining means for temporarily loosening and/or tightening the strings by means of a lever part included in the lever means. The lever means are provided with moving means comprising at least one moving mechanism, which is a mechanism separate from the lever means. One or more second restraining means are arranged to move with respect to the bridge body. The moving means are arranged to transmit the movement of the lever means into the desired movement of one or more restraining means.
