摘要： A method of searching a plural pre-registered data lines in which each of the data lines has data units such as letters and an index number, and of registering a new data line which also has data units among the data lines. The index number indicates the number of the coinciding letters from the first letter between each of the data lines and a data line one preceding to the data line. The method includes the step of comparing the new data line with the first ordered data line among the pre-registered data lines according to alphabetical order. If the new data line is not the same as the first ordered data line, other pre-registered data lines are searched in order to determine an order of the new data line to be registered among the pre-registered data lines. For the determination of the order; firstly, the number of coinciding letters from the first letter between the new data line and the first ordered data line is recognized as a reference number; and secondly, only pre-registered data lines which have equal or larger index numbers than the reference number is searched according to the index numbers.

摘要： A voice recognition dialing unit of a telephone mounted on a vehicle or similar mobile body and which allows a call to be originated with ease. When the user of the telephone enters a voice command on a voice inputting section, the dialing unit originates a call automatically and thereby connects the other party to the telephone line. In a call origination procedure, the operations for call origination and the verifications are performed between the user and the unit in an interactive sequence. In a preferred embodiment, the unit has a particular call origination procedure in which, when the other party recognized by the unit is wrong as determined by the user by verification, lower-place candidates for the other party are called up in response to a particular voice command. In an alternative embodiment, the unit indicates the other party by voicing a name for verification purpose. The alternative embodiment selects and stores only the name of the other party in response to an entered voice signal and, in the event of response for verification, combines the name having been stored and response information stored beforehand to produce composite response voice.

摘要： A predictive dialing system having a computer connected to a telephone switch stores a group of call records in its internal storage. Each call record contains a group of input parameters, including the date, the time, and one or more workload factors. Workload factors can indicate the number of pending calls, the number of available operators, the average idle time, the connection delay, the completion rate, and the nuisance call rate, among other things. In the preferred embodiment, each call record also contains a dial action, which indicates whether a call was initiated or not. These call records are analyzed by a neutral network to determine a relationship between the input parameters and the dial action stored in each call record. This analysis is done as part of the training process for the neutral network. After this relationship is determined, the computer system sends a current group of input parameters to the neural network, and, based on the analysis of the previous call records, the neural network determines whether a call should be intiated or not. The neural network bases its decision on the complex relationship it has learned from its training data--perhaps several thousand call records spanning several days, months, or even years. The neural network is able to automatically adjust--in a look ahead, proactive manner--for slow and fast periods of the day, week, month, and year.

摘要： A memory dial telephone finder includes a casing integrally made on the mainframe of a microprocessor controlled telephone system, which casing is having two guide posts set at both lateral sides for positioning therebetween of a plurality of telephone number index cards, which index cards are having cuttings for quick finding. A plurality of memory keys are mounted on the mainframe in front of the casing to respectively control the mainframe memory which is having the data of the telephone numbers stored therein. A cover which is pivoted to the casing and controlled by an expansion spring to be in a normal open position is having a raid made at the front inner side for sliding therealong of a snapper, and a plurality of locating holes for alternatively positioning of the snapper. A stop plate is pivoted to the casing at the inner front position and pressed by a torsional spring to be in a position constantly retained with the cover. A snapper slidably which is mounted on the front edge of the cover is having a press key, through which the cover is operated to show the selected index card, and the matrix in the mainframe memory of the telephone system is turned on. Upon pressing on the associated number key of the telephone system, the telephone system will automatically execute the dialing process.

摘要： A time manager for a personal terminal can be generally characterized as a things-to-do file in which the user inputs a to-do reminder message along with a data and time that the terminal user wants to be alerted (reminded). The notion of a terminal time manager is advanced by displaying reminder messages directed to calling a named entity that is contained in the terminal telephone directory and by automatically calling the named entity when the user points to the displayed reminder. If the user inputs the actual telephone number to be called in place of the named entity, then the telephone number will be called even though the telephone number is not contained in the directory.

摘要： An information storing apparatus is provided in a radio telephone apparatus having a base unit coupled to a wired telephone line and a radio telephone set. The base unit includes a memory for storing telephone number information and line relay for making or breaking a speech path between the base unit and the wired telephone line. When a registration signal is transmitted from the radio telephone set, the base unit is disconnected from the wired telephone line to break the speech path. Thereafter, if a dial signal from the radio telephone set is received, the received dial signal is stored in the memory as the telephone number information used for a reduced dialog operation. If a calling signal arrives at the wired telephone line while the dial signal is being stored, the calling signal is detected by another telephone apparatus coupled to the wired telephone line. Therefore, the telephone apparatus generates a ringing signal in response to the detected signal.
