Abstract: A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a dual mode illumination module having a first light emitting diode (LED) operable to emit visible white light when electrically powered and a second LED operable to emit non-visible light when electrically powered. The first LED, when the vehicle is parked and the first LED is electrically powered, emits visible white light to provide visible ground illumination at a ground region at least partially along the side portion of the vehicle. Visible ground illumination by the vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly at the ground region is locked-out during movement of the vehicle. The second LED, when the second LED is electrically powered, emits non-visible light to provide non-visible illumination for a camera viewing exterior and at least sideward of the vehicle. Non-visible light emission by the second LED is not locked-out during movement of the vehicle.

Abstract: A vehicular slider window assembly includes a movable window panel that is movable along rails at an opening of a fixed window panel. A perimeter seal is disposed at a surface of the fixed window panel and circumscribes the opening and is configured to seal against a surface of the movable window panel when the movable window panel is in a closed position. The perimeter seal includes elongated sealing portions joined at respective corner regions, with adjacent end regions of attachment elements of the sealing portions being spaced from one another at the respective corner regions such that there is a gap between the adjacent end regions. With the attachment elements attached at the surface of the fixed window panel, a sealant is dispensed into the gaps via passageways to seal the corner regions of the perimeter seal at the fixed window panel.

Abstract: A vehicular vision system includes an electronic control unit (ECU), a plurality of exterior viewing vehicle cameras that capture image data and provide captured image data to the ECU. When the vehicle is towing a trailer, a rearward-viewing trailer camera captures image data and provides captured image data to the ECU. A video mirror display screen is disposed at an interior rearview mirror assembly of the vehicle and is operable to display video images derived from video image data provided from the ECU. The mirror assembly is adjustable between a mirror mode and a display mode. The mirror assembly, when in the display mode, is operable by the driver of the vehicle to display at the video mirror display screen (i) a single image display of video images, (ii) a dual image display of video images or (iii) a three image display of video images.

Abstract: A vehicular exterior rearview mirror system includes an exterior rearview mirror assembly configured for attachment at a vehicle and an electrically-operable actuator. An exterior mirror head is movable relative to an exterior portion of the vehicle via operation of the actuator. The exterior mirror head accommodates an exterior mirror reflective element attached at an attachment plate. A heater pad is disposed between the exterior mirror reflective element and the attachment plate. An outermost side of the exterior mirror reflective element is exposed to and is viewable by a driver of the vehicle and is contactable. The attachment plate includes wall structure that spans a perimeter circumferential edge of the exterior mirror reflective element. No part of the exterior mirror head encroaches onto the outermost side of the exterior mirror reflective element. No part of the exterior mirror head overlaps the outermost side of the exterior mirror reflective element.

Abstract: A vehicular display system includes an electronic control unit (ECU), a plurality of cameras including a driver-side rear corner camera and a passenger-side rear corner camera disposed at respective driver-side and passenger-side rear corner regions of the vehicle. The ECU includes an image processor operable to process image data captured by any of the plurality of cameras and generate video images. A video mirror display screen is disposed at an interior rearview mirror assembly of the vehicle and is operable to display video images provided by the ECU. Responsive to a triggering event, the ECU, via processing of image data captured by at least one of the driver-side and passenger-side rear corner cameras, generates cross-traffic view video images and provides the cross-traffic view video images to the video mirror display screen. The cross-traffic view video images are displayed in a split-screen format at the video mirror display screen.

Abstract: A vehicular cabin monitoring system includes an interior rearview mirror assembly configured for attaching at an interior portion of an equipped vehicle and having a having a mirror head accommodating a driver monitoring camera and first and second near infrared light emitters. When the equipped vehicle is a left hand drive vehicle, a beam of light emitted by the first near infrared light emitters is directed toward a driver-side front seating location of the left hand drive vehicle when the first near infrared light emitter emits near infrared light for a driver monitoring function. When the equipped vehicle is a right hand drive vehicle, a beam of light emitted by the second light emitting element is directed toward a driver-side front seating location of the right hand drive vehicle when the second near infrared light emitter emits near infrared light for the driver monitoring function.

Abstract: A vehicular rear window assembly includes a window panel having an inner glass panel and an outer glass panel laminated together. A lighting device includes a plurality of light sources arranged on a circuit element. The vehicular rear window assembly is configured to be disposed at a rear portion of a cabin of a vehicle. The lighting device is disposed between the inner glass panel and the outer glass panel. The light sources, when electrically powered, emit light that is visible through the outer glass panel of the window panel so as to be viewable by a person viewing the vehicular rear window assembly from exterior and rearward of the vehicle. At least some of the light sources of the lighting device are electrically powered responsive to actuation of a brake of the vehicle to provide a center high mounting stop lamp feature that is integrated within the window panel.

Abstract: A vehicular frameless interior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror head and a mounting portion. The mirror head includes a mirror reflective element and a mirror casing. The mirror reflective element includes a glass substrate having a planar front side and a planar rear side. No portion of the mirror casing overlaps the planar front side of the glass substrate of the mirror reflective element. A camera is disposed within the mirror casing. With the mounting portion of the mirror assembly mounted at an in-cabin side of a windshield of a vehicle, the camera views a driver of the vehicle, and when the mirror head is moved by the driver of the vehicle to adjust the rearward view provided by the mirror reflective element to the driver, the camera moves in tandem with movement of the mirror head. The camera is part of a driver monitoring system of the vehicle.

Abstract: A vehicular exterior breakaway rearview mirror assembly includes a skull-cap mirror shell and a reflective element. With the mirror assembly mounted at an exterior side of a vehicle, the skull-cap mirror shell has an inboard wall that faces toward the exterior side of the vehicle. A blind spot indicator is disposed at an aperture established at the inboard wall of the skull-cap mirror shell. An illumination source of the blind spot indicator is activated to illuminate the blind spot indicator responsive to an electronic blind spot monitoring system of the vehicle detecting another vehicle that is approaching or overtaking the equipped vehicle. Illumination of the blind spot indicator by activation of the illumination source is readily viewable by the driver of the equipped vehicle and is not readily viewable by a driver of the detected other vehicle.
