Abstract: A method for operating a casting/rolling system and to a corresponding system for casting and rolling an endless strand material. The casting/rolling system comprises a strand casting machine and a rolling train arranged downstream of the strand casting machine. The method has the following step: controlling the drive for the rollers of the first roller frame of the rolling train by means of a drive control in response to a target value specification of the pass sequence model. Furthermore, the drive of the at least one strand guiding roller is controlled by a strand guiding roller drive control in response to a target value specification of the strand casting machine drive model.

Abstract: The invention relates to a roller leveler (1) having a set of upper and lower flattening rollers (2), wherein each flattening roller (2) is provided with a rotary drive (3) actuated by leveler control (4) for rotating the flattening roller (2) to advance a to-be-flattened metallic flat material in a forward direction (F) and, thereby, flatten the flat, metallic material. To achieve an improved and optimal flattening result, the invention proposes that each flattening roller (2) has a first rotary drive (L1, L2 . . . Ln) for driving one axial end of the flattening roller (2), and a second rotary drive (R1, R2 . . . Rn) for driving one axial end of the flattening roller (2) and a second rotary drive (R1, R2 . . . Rn) for driving the other end of the flattening roller, wherein the leveler controller (4) is designed to apply a parameter determining the direction of rotation of the flattening roller (2) to the first and second rotary drives (L1, L2 . . . Ln, R1, R2 . . . Rn) individually based on a pre-set value. The invention also relates to a method of operating a roller leveler of this kind.

Abstract: A device for coating a metal strip substrate includes a guiding apparatus for guiding the strip substrate along a movement path. A first coating apparatus coats a first main side of the strip substrate with an electrostatically charged coating powder which is in a fluidized state. The first coating apparatus is arranged under a first path section of the movement path. A second coating apparatus coats a second main side of the strip substrate with an electrostatically charged coating powder which is in a fluidized state. A redirecting unit redirects the strip substrate between the first and the second coating apparatus in such a way that the strip substrate in a second path section travels oppositely to the strip substrate in the first path section. The second coating apparatus is arranged at least partly geodetically under the second path section.
