Abstract:
An apparatus (1) for increasing the temperature of elongate metallic rolled stock (2), having a heating unit (3) which comprises induction heating elements (4, 5, 6, 7; 104, 105, 106, 107) for heating the rolled stock (2) along a heating zone (8), and having a conveying device (15) which comprises driving and/or roller table roller elements (27, 28) as active or passive conveying elements (18) for moving the rolled stock (2) along the longitudinal extension (9) of the heating zone (8), wherein the induction heating elements (4, 5, 6, 7; 104, 105, 106, 107) are arranged spaced apart from one another in the longitudinal extension (9) of the heating zone (8) in each case by a free space (10, 11, 12), and wherein a sliding deflector element (34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 73) and/or opposing lateral guide elements (60, 61) are arranged in each of the free spaces (10, 11, 12) in order to prevent the conveyed rolled stock (2) from coming into contact with the induction heating elements (4, 5, 6, 7; 104, 105, 106, 107).
Abstract:

Abstract:
The invention relates to a device (1) and a method for laterally guiding a slab (2) on a transport track (3), comprising a first guide rule (4) and a second guide rule (5). The guide rules (4, 5) are arranged opposite each other on both sides of the transport track (3) and are each connected to at least one actuating drive (6) so as to move in a direction of a width of the transport track (3). The actuating drive can be actuated perpendicularly to the transport direction (7) of the slab (2), wherein the respective longitudinal axis (4L, 5L) of the first guide rule (4) and/or the second guide rule (5) can be positioned at a specified angle (α) relative to the transport direction (7) of the slab (2). The first and/or the second guide rule (4, 5) has at least one contact roller (8) which can be brought into contact with a lateral edge of the slab (2) in order to guide and/or compress the slab (2).
Abstract:
The invention concerns a hot-rolling mill comprising a finishing train (1) for finishing rolling stock, in particular a strip, the finishing train (1) comprising a number of rolling stands (2, 3, 4) which follow one another in a conveying direction (F) of the rolling stock. According to the invention, in order to improve the rolling force level during finishing, there is disposed at least between two rolling stands (2, 3, 4), following one another in the conveying direction (F), at least one heat-insulating element (5) by means of which the rolling stock can be protected from heat losses.
