    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques are directed to transmission and reception point (TRP)-specific network operation sequences. A first TRP may be configured with a first network operation sequence, and a second TRP may be configured with a second network operation sequence. The use of separate network operation sequences for different TRPs may enable some TRPs to operate in lower-power consumption modes, while simultaneously enabling a network to accommodate dynamic network traffic. Different network operation sequences may be configured with different parameters or restrictions. Different TRPs may be associated with different control resource set (CORESET) indices or different virtual component carriers. In some examples, a first TRP may indicate parameters to a UE for communicating with a second TRP in a flexible mode at the second TRP.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity, control signaling that includes sounding reference signal (SRS) configuration information associated with an increased quantity of SRS ports. The SRS configuration information may include a quantity of symbols via which to transmit SRSs, a frequency resource comb for each respective symbol, and a threshold quantity of cyclic shifts. The UE may map a first subset of SRS ports to a first symbol and map a second subset of SRS ports to a second symbol. The UE may transmit, and the network entity receive, the SRSs using the first subset of SRS ports via the first symbol according to a first frequency resource comb and respective cyclic shifts and using the second subset of SRS ports via the second symbol according to a second frequency resource comb and respective cyclic shifts.

Techniques are described for a user equipment (UE) to trigger a sidelink channel state information (CSI) procedure without an associated data grant. In some cases, a CSI procedure may be triggered by sending a sequence on a specific resource. In some cases, a CSI procedure may be triggered by a sidelink control information (SCI) message which does not include a sidelink data grant. Techniques are described which avoid CSI reference signal (CSI-RS) resource collision. For example, CSI-RS resources may be selected based on channel sensing, UE identifiers, or a combination thereof. In some cases, UEs may be configured subsets of a CSI-RS resource pool for sending CSI-RS.

A base station may receive a capability message from a user equipment (UE) based on a number of receive antennas exceeding a number of transmit antennas at the UE. The base station may configure the UE with a mapping between sounding reference signal (SRS) resources and bit sequences, or SRS resource indices (SRIs), based on the capability message. The base station may transmit a control message including one or more SRIs indicating respective SRS resources. The UE may use the one or more SRIs included in a control message from the base station to select respective SRS resources from a resource set. Once the UE selects one or more SRS resources, the UE may transmit one or more SRSs in the SRS resources.
