Abstract: Techniques for delivery guarantee compliance for an application synchronization service are described. In certain embodiments, a publishing service utilizes its memory queue to receive a request to publish a notification of a modification of a monitored data source from an application synchronization service, and then sends a success code to the application synchronization service based at least in part on the storing of the request to publish the notification in the memory queue. Embodiments herein are directed to a publishing service that delivers messages with a level one Quality of Service (QOS) that indicates that a message will be delivered one time at least.

Abstract: An identity set may be selected from an identity pool of an identity management service. The identity set may be selected based on a threshold quantity of unnecessary permissions relative to one or more existing managed policies provided by the identity management service. The identity set may be grouped into a plurality of identity subsets. The grouping may be performed based at least in part on services accessed by the identity set. A plurality of candidate policies may be generated, such as by generating, for each identity subset of the plurality of identity subsets, based at least in part on a plurality of policy generation rules, a respective candidate policy. At least one candidate policy of the plurality of candidate policies may be selected as a new managed policy that is provided by the identity management service to users.

Abstract: A cable-jetting installation sleeve can be used to advance a fiber-optic cable through a conduit. The cable-jetting installation sleeve can include a housing and an expandable section. The expandable section can include an opening which can be expanded to receive or remove an end of the cable and contracted to engage the cable with the expandable section. A parachute can be positioned on one end of the cable-jetting installation sleeve. The parachute can be pushed by compressed air in the conduit to advance the cable-jetting installation sleeve through the conduit.

Abstract: Voice customization is an application of voice synthesis that involves synthesizing speech having certain voice characteristics, and/or modifying the voice characteristics of human speech. Certain techniques for voice customization may be used in conjunction with compressing speech for storage and/or transmission. For example, speech may be received at a first device and transformed into a latent representation and/or compressed for storage and/or transmission to a second device. The system may use normalizing flows to transform the source audio to a latent representation having a desired variable distribution, and to transform the latent representation back into audio data. A flow model may conditioned using first speech attributes when transforming the source audio, and an inverse flow model may use second speech attributes when transforming the latent representation back into audio data. The first and/or second speech attributes may be modified to alter voice characteristics of the transmitted speech.

The method also includes predicting, using a machine learning model and based on an image of a foot, one or more features of the foot, generating, based on the first annotated point, the second annotated point, the third annotated point, and the one or more features, a two-dimensional model of the shoe using the three-dimensional model of the shoe, and superimposing the two-dimensional model of the shoe onto the image of the foot.

Abstract: A transaction request compliant with a first version of a journal schema of a multi-data-store storage system is received at a journal manager. The journal schema indicates attributes of data objects which may be materialized at various data stores of the system. The journal manager stores an entry in the system's journal if the transaction meets acceptance criteria. Writes indicated in the entry are materialized at the data stores after verifying that the entry is compliant with the journal schema. After verifying that member data stores have approved a proposed change to the journal schema, another entry indicating a different version of the journal schema is added to the journal. Client-side components of the system obtain the current version of the journal schema to prepare the transaction requests.
