    Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an image forming portion, a first acquisition processing portion, a second acquisition processing portion, and an adjustment processing portion. The image forming portion forms an image on a sheet. The first acquisition processing portion acquires a captured image of the sheet. The second acquisition processing portion acquires a specific value that indicates a difference between a gradation value of a pixel that, among pixels included in the captured image acquired by the first acquisition processing portion, corresponds to a higher part of an outer surface of the sheet, and a gradation value of a pixel that, among the pixels included in the captured image, corresponds to a lower part that is lower than the higher part. The adjustment processing portion adjusts an image forming condition of the image forming portion based on the specific value acquired by the second acquisition processing portion.

    Abstract: A sheet ejection device includes an ejection roller pair, a stacking tray, a protrusion member and a movement mechanism. The protrusion member is supported to be able to reciprocate between a protrusion position and a retraction position in a predetermined movement direction. The movement mechanism includes: a rotation shaft; a holding member; and a rack and pinion mechanism which includes a pinion gear and a rack gear. In at least a part of the rack gear in the movement direction, a narrow width region is provided which includes a narrow width gear and a cutout portion. In the narrow width region, the pinion gear is slidable between a meshing position and a release position, and in a state where the pinion gear has slid to the release position, the protrusion member can be relatively moved with respect to the pinion gear in the movement direction.

    Abstract: A sheet storage device includes a housing, a sheet stacking tray, a shaft, a suspension mechanism, a driving device, and a drive transmission portion. The suspension mechanism includes a plurality of winding pulleys and a plurality of wires. The drive transmission portion includes a plurality of driving gears and a plurality of driven gears. The plurality of winding pulleys permit the engagement positions of the plurality of driven gears with respect to the plurality of driving gears to be changed in the circumferential direction of the shaft. The drive transmission portion changes the respective engagement positions of the plurality of driven gears and thereby changes the respective relative positions of the fixing portions of the plurality of winding pulleys in the rotation direction. This permits adjustment of the respective unwound lengths of the plurality of wires.

    Abstract: A document sheet conveying device includes a sheet feed tray lift mechanism, a top plate portion, a fixed wall portion, and a lifted wall portion. The sheet feed tray lift mechanism lifts up and down a sheet feed tray. The top plate portion is adjacent to the sheet feed tray at a downstream side, in a sheet feed direction, of the sheet feed tray, and is contacted by a lower surface of a document sheet having been fed.
